They disconnect every night and you have to re-set them up, add them to the app, etc. I have the older "mini" smart plug and they disconnect maybe once a year, but these brand new ones disconnect every night. What is the point of having a "smart" switch that you have to walk over and re-set every morning???

Terrible Product setup/reliability

Cannot even get it to connect to my Wi-Fi and set up. I’m pretty tech savvy. I even turned my Wi-Fi down to 2.4 GHz and still does not work. I’ve tried several different ways many times and only got one of them to connect. The one that did work is 65% reliable. HomeKit frequently is unable to connect to it. I would not waste my time buying this product. I’m returning all six of them that I got.

Tried many different ways and locations in my house. These things can not hold a wifi signal for very long. A quick web search will confirm this is a common issue. These are going back to bestbuy. Do not recommend.

Not these switches. Setup was easy as usual, but after a few hours of normal functioning, all of them went disconnected. Had to reset and reconfigure all of them only to have the same happen a couple more times. I have returned them and won't buy this model again unless there is some indication that the flaw has been rectified.

Setting up the Wemo WiFi Smart Plug should be simple with Wemo app. You can try to set up the Wemo Smart Plug using a different mobile device for isolation.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEAP CRAP

Blew out my $300 apple home pod after plugging it into the same wall jack. Absolutely no reason for my home pod to fail, had it since day 1. Apple store tonight said theyve NEVER seen one brought in for repair. Only thing that changed was this Wemo plug. Best I can do is refund on these. Now to look for a class action lawsuit in progress. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHEAP CRAP

About every 1-2 months, I have to manually remove these from HomeKit and re-add them because they stop talking to HomeKit. I don’t know why. None of my other HomeKit products do these. It’s also a pain to re-add them once they’ve been added once.

I’ve reset them multiple times but to avail. It’s a shame that i’m stuck with non working items now that their return window has closed.

I had a few of the cheap Amazon version but decided once I added wemo switches that I’d like everything on one system so swapped out for this wemo plug. They do not work, I’ve tried setting every type of rule to time the plugs turning on and off and nothing works as it should. Plugging my cheap Amazon ones back in as they’re reliable. Don’t waste your money.
