    Reception seem to be poor and often would go out. Has to be very close to Wi-Fi port.

    I got one of the three plugs to work once. The others not at all. I returned them and through another supplier I purchased the original model of the Wemo plugs. (I already have several original ones.) They worked perfectly the first time and I have not had any problems.

    Great Wi-Fi Plugs

    Received 3 of the Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Plugs and for once they are as advertised. When you plug a Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Plug into your electrical socket it does not obstructing your other sockets. Two of the Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Plugs were very simple, and quick, to set up and one was not so user friendly however I did finally get it set up after multiple attempts. Once you have downloaded the Wemo app, you plug the Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Plug into an electrical outlet, I always use an electrical outlet close to the router/wi-fi where it is easy to access, tap on the Wemo app + icon, and the set-up is complete in seconds. It is really that fast. As I stated prior, one of the Wemo WiFi Smart Plugs chose to be a little unfriendly at first. Once I have them set-up, I move them to the location I planned to use them, and had named them during set-up. When you have completed the set-up just unplug, move, re-plug, plug in the item you chose to use them with, and you are good to go. You can use the Wemo app or use your Alexa device to operate each Wemo Wi-Fi Plug. We chose to use our Alexa devices and they work flawlessly. I find the Wemo WiFi Smart Plugs a little expensive, not sure why they are, however they are great.

    This rating has nothing to do with Best Buy but the Wemo product! None of the plugs would connect to the wifi, regardless of being right next to the router! We have both 2G and 5G networks and they would not connect to either. Had to return since they would not connect.

    About the WeMo Smart Plugs The WeMo Smart Plugs are simple smart devices that allows you to control a power outlet with an Off/On feature. Plug the Smart Plug into a wall outlet, and then the device into the Smart Plug. Use the app or the push button on the side to turn the outlet off and on. Features Aside from the On/Off feature, there are a few other things that make these devices “smarter”. The WeMo Smart Plugs can be controlled with voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant. You just have to connect them through your Amazon Alexa or Google Home apps. The box also claims that it works with Apple HomeKit which I do not have. I did test it with my Samsung SmartThings system and it integrated with SmartThings well. There are also timers and automated functions within the app that you can set for routines. The Set-up Setting up the WeMo Smart Plugs was not very difficult, and maybe took me around 20 minutes. Download the app, plug in the Smart Plugs, and connect them to your internet. You will need your Wi-Fi password handy. Once connected it should ask you to update the firmware. This took another few minutes to update the 3 Smart Plugs. You can name the plugs in the app so that you can keep track of where the plug is installed and what is being controlled. The App The app is my main issue with the WeMo products. It’s just not good. The user interface is fine, but the app is pretty inconsistent. I already had an up to date version of the app on my phone because I have two of their light switches in my home. I was able to add the Smart Plugs pretty easily through my existing app. The problem was that after I added the Smart Plugs the app wouldn’t connect to my light switches. I had no way to control the light switches through the app for about a half hour. Then magically, they could talk to each other again and everything started working. I previously had issues with the timer feature on the light switches and never could get that to work. The app portion of the product needs work. I’m giving the WeMo Smart Plugs 3 stars. I could get the products to work, but I have only tested them for a short time. All of the issues with the app makes me hesitant to give it any kind of overwhelming endorsement.

    I could not get this smart plug to connect via my iPhone, so I returned it for an Amazon plug which installed in seconds. I previously had an older Wemo that worked, but after a power surge it died, the new one wanted to connect through Home app, but failed every time.

    Don't get if you wanna use on Apple Home Kit.

    Very disappointing, the plug works fine however it is the app that upsets me. In order to set timer/schedules you need to do it through the app, but the app is horrendous, it'll make you set up your plug and then it won't connect at all when you do. I recommend buying the KASA brand over this one.

      Setup should be easy as long as the 2.4GHz wireless network is visible and that the plug is already on setup mode.     Setup instructions lacking. Hardware quality poor.

    The setup instructions were very scant. Had to search online to find out how to setup properly. First one worked after finding a YouTube video with instructions. After firmware update, the second unit immediately died. Didn't even bother with the third one. Sending them all back. Doesn't appear to be ready for market.

    Never connected to network, returned to store

    I returned this item to the store after spending a couple hours trying to get it to connect to my network. I never could despite many attempts. I had an existing, older style Wemo plug that had worked without issues for a couple years.

    Horrible set up process. Spent hours on Reddit and Belkin’s own website and still couldn’t get the last one to set up. Ending up returning and purchased a 4 pack of Meross HomeKit enable switches from Amazon for much cheaper.
