Easy and Affordable

These Wemo plugs are a great way to dip your toes into the smart home waters. I've had my eye on Belkin Wemo plugs for awhile and as soon as this new version came out I had to give them a try. They're a great deal for the three-pack which was an added bonus. I was able to setup two of these plugs in under 10 minutes. The packaging includes the QR code of each plug (the plugs include them as well) which is convenient as I was putting the plugs behind some furniture. I downloaded the Wemo app, scanned the codes and had everything up and running right away. The app updated the firmware on both plugs after setup without any issue. That was all it took to add smart controls to a lamp and a fan. It's now easy to turn each appliance on or off without having to fiddle with the switches (a big plus when you don't want to get out of bed). The Wemo app allows for simple on/off as well as scheduling, and the plugs integrate with Google Assistant, Alexa and Apple HomeKit. Overall these devices are excellent and a no-brainer for adding smart controls without a lot of fuss.

This pack includes three single outlets. There is a card in the package that provides the app information necessary. Once your app is downloaded, plug the outlets in and begin setup. The card with the app info also has three QR codes to quickly connect each outlet to your app and wifi network. With the app, you can control all of your outlets individually. You can turn them on and off. You can also set timers or schedules for them to turn on and off straight from your phone. There is also an away mode. These are great because they not only connect you to your outlets from your phone, but help you save power by turning the outlets and things plugged into them off. The setup is quick and easy and also allows you to update the firmware directly from your app.
