It was pretty easy to set up. On the first software update I had to fiddle with it to get it back on it’s schedule. Maybe if I had more patience it may have gotten there on it’s own. The next software update seemed to go smoothly, as I wasn’t right next to it & so impatient. I think it’s great to have the app to be able to control, even when not home.

Perfect use with Apple Home app and Siri. It’s so hard to find these kind of outlets compatible with iOS. Excellent find and reasonably priced.

Love these plugs. I have several rooms where the light switch at the door isn’t connected to the appropriate outlet for a lamp. Problem solved by Wemo. I have most set up with on/off rules in the app and connected with the smart home hub (Google home, apple home, Alexa, your choice) makes it all the more easier. Also use them on AC booster fans to turn on when hot outside. Beats the heck out of maneuvering around things to hit an on button. Also use for Christmas tree lights.

These work great on apple HomeKit. Have used for over a month and no issues whatsoever. Just have phone connected to your 2.4 ghz WiFi when setting them up instead of 5 ghz

Surprising much more stable than previous models and love the new smaller design. As long as the WEMO application remain stable, great product. (Find the WEMO app goes offline around 11 pm - 1 am about once a month unfortunately and then somehow fixes itself later in the morning.

Recently purchased these because of a trip I was going on. Easy to program through the app and was pleasantly surprised that the programmed time worked well. Can also turn off and on through the app. On a scale of one to five, five being the hardest to program and or understand I’d rate this a 1.5

    Wemo runs all my lights.

All my lights run on Belkin Wemo plugs and wall switches. This is more cost effective in the long run than buying smart bulbs. I like my bulbs to be really bright and you just can't find anything higher than 800 lumens in a smart bulb today. Once they're matched with your wifi, you can control them all with any of the popular voice assistants or the Memo app, and you can even control them while you're away from home. Once in a great while you may need to restart one here and there, but there pretty reliable overall.

    Smart Functionality Failed

Great size, and attractive/useful design for a smart plug, but about 3 weeks into use, it's smart functionality almost completely stopped working. I have many dozens of smart plugs/switches/bulbs from all the main manufacturers, including other WeMo devices, and this was the 1st device that provided a truly frustrating experience. Alexa could discover the device but on/off functionality was lost. The WeMo app itself intermittently dropped the device from my list of devices. WeMo app rules stopped working (kept working for WeMo switches). I power cycled and factory reset multiple times. Firmware updated. I couldn't figure it out and was on hold with WeMo support for 45 min before deciding it wasn't worth my time any longer. These devices should just work.

      Hi, NateH,

The Wemo WiFi Smart Plug should stay connected if it is connected to the WiFi with an active internet connection. You can try to relocate the device and force close the app for isolation but, allow us to investigate your support experience, and we'll have our Product Experts assist you further.

We have Apple HomeKit and it work well. My fiancée set it up and it works perfectly for her. For some reason Siri won’t work for me. I can turn it off in the Home app by pressing the button, but I can’t just ask Siri to do it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not signed in to the Wemo app like my fiancée is, but it’s worth mentioning.

Easy to install and use, even without Apple HomeKit. When using without HomeKit, you simply have to leave them on for 15min to get them to show up in the list of Wi-Fi devices. Be sure to start the "add new device" dialog in the app and stop at the point where it asks you the status of the flashing light. Connect via Wi-Fi and the installation completes after prompting you for your Wi-Fi domain and password. Be sure to select the 2.4MHz Wi-Fi channel for the connection. Mine had the same SSID as the 5.0MHz network, but were listed first in the under the iPhone Wi-Fi setup dialog.
