The microwave hood range is a game-changer in my kitchen! Its space-saving design and powerful performance make cooking a pleasure. The microwave heats food evenly and the ventilation system keeps the air clean and fresh. A must-have appliance for any busy home chef!

Why has it taken decades for a microwave to be this size. The space between it and the stove is great. As for the microwave itself it’s fast to cook and quite. The fans while cooking also quiet. And the sensor reheat works beautifully.

Had my unit’s fan vented to the outside. The directions are not accurate as one panel is unable to be reversed as the directions indicate because there is no hole for the screw. Had to put tape on the panel to prevent the fan from bringing the exhaust back into the house. The corner of the door is very sharp and it has gotten a family member in the neck. The microwave works well. It is small in height but very good for reheating food. There aren’t many choices for low profile microwaves but this one does the job and looks nice.

This appliance was a long-time coming! When remodeling my kitchen I replaced a vent-only hood to regain counter space lost to a freestanding microwave but I didn't want to lose vertical space above my range or have to replace a lot of cabinetry. This microwave/hood was the perfect solution. It fits nicely above my Whirlpool range/oven and I've yet to find a dish that needs a "full size" microwave. The photo attached to this review shows the microwave door open with a 1 quart liquid measuring cup inside. I had several friends over for a housewarming and this appliance ended up getting the most conversation--a couple renovating a rental property already purchased one. Since this unit is set up for non-vented use (it can be adjusted for top or rear vented applications), I did purchase carbon filter material to replace the initial filter material behind the metal vent intake grilles. I did have some trouble getting used to setting the time/power before closing the door and was disappointed this model does not allow for a 24-hour clock display (My Whirlpool range has this feature). I would likely not recommend this for shorter people or those with difficulty raising their arms (same would apply for any over-the-range microwave).

Compact, sleek design. Quite pricy but it does provide a lot of extra space between bottom of microwave and stove. Where it saves space on the bottom, it makes up for it in width. I wasn’t expecting it to stick out past my cabinets but now that I’ve gotten accustom to it, I actually like it. It complements my range nicely, and I like how the light provides added coverage to top of stove.

Well worth the price if you enjoy cooking. The 6-7 inches it saves really opens up the cooking area. Love the design, does its job and looks great. The way the door hides the number pad is a very nice feature. Value is in the eye of the beholder, those 6-7 inches of extra space cost over 100 dollars.

I'm very pleased with this low profile microwave. Easy to use. Great multi-speed fan and multi-brightness light. The microwave gives me so much more space over the stove top due to its slimline design. Very hapoy with my choice!

Slim design really makes this an attractive addition to the kitchen. I have had several people say they didn’t even realize it was a microwave. Very classy! The functionality it great too. The unused space was eliminated without effecting the ability to hold larger items. I was nervous about this purchase before installing it but now I couldn’t be happier.

This microwave is sleek, streamlined, and beautiful. It’s also a workhorse as it takes less time to heat things in this unit than it did in our old full size unit that was higher wattage. At first we were going to mount it ourselves, but one quick look in the box and we decided $139 for a Geek Squad install was money well spent and we were right! The only downside to this is the price with installation coming in at $550, however, if it’s what you want and if the new technology lasts as long as our old unit (still working and given to neighbors) it’s a really good investment.

I had been using a very basic countertop microwave, and I wanted something better. I also wanted to free up counter space. This (and a lesser one with fewer features) is the only over the range microwave that’s compact enough to avoid interfering with the view of the stove top. Yet it’s tall enough inside that virtually anything I could ever want to put in it will fit just fine. It also has a really powerful ventilation fan—so powerful that I rarely use more than the lowest speed to ventilate through my roof. It was relatively easy to install, although the installation instructions could use some work. Once I got used to setting it and then closing the door, I have found all of its features to be easy to use. Its lights are adequate to light the stove top on the higher setting; on the lower setting , they are adequate as a night light. My only complaint is that the electronic signal for the end of cooking or timing isn’t very loud. It is adjustable, and I have it turned up all the way, but it’s barely audible from anywhere other than in the kitchen. But otherwise, it’s a truly excellent appliance. I am very happy with it. I chose white to complement the “old farmhouse” appearance of my kitchen. I like that its appearance is very clean and uncluttered with visible controls.

I really like this low profile microwave. Be aware that if you are replacing a regular size over-the-stove, you will have to cover holes because the low profile is a lot higher up the wall. Also, it sticks out a little further than the other one. I love it though and I have much more room over my stove. One thing I am concerned about is that the door opens with a button, no handle. Hopefully that will last for the life of the microwave.

The extra space between the bottom of the microwave and the top of the range is so much better than the standard microwave hood which is usually way to close. Sleek and modern - great!

I bought this as part of our kitchen renovation. I didn’t even know they made low profile microwave ovens, as I had never seen anyone with one in their home. We don’t cook whole meals in ours, so the extra space inside a standard microwave oven just isn’t really needed for us...and probably most people. Keep in mind while the unit is definitely shorter in height than a standard, it is also deeper, so it will protrude our more from your cabinets thanks a standard, especially if you have 12 inch deep wall cabinets like me. It isn’t a problem though and it looks awesome. The fan is also more powerful than the larger units...ironically. It looks and sounds premium.

Love this low profile microwave oven!!! We had a piece of absolute garbage LG black stainless steel before this. The black coating starting peeling and the plastic parts were cracking after only 2 years of use. Whirlpool has always been a good solid product and they were the only ones to offer this low profile microwave that had the option to have the vent set up for outside venting. We love it! We don't cook in our microwave, mostly just used for defrosting and warming things up. I was so tired of the huge microwaves that took up so much space. This one is so sleek and EXACTLY what I was looking for. We didn't install so I can't speak to the ease of that. I was concerned about how far it sticks out from the cabinets but that has actually not bothered me at all because it is so short. No handle so you don't have to worry about the handle breaking like on our previous oven. I would definitely recommend this if your looking for a low profile microwave.

Nice basic microwave oven. Slimline works well in my tiny home. It gives a good amount of space for cooking underneath, also runs pretty quietly. I can put a tall coffee cup inside, plenty of cooking space for my needs.

Very happy with it. Has a subtle "ding" when it's done. Love the 3 fan speeds and 2 light settings. My only complaint is that you have to open it to use the timer. Sometimes I just want to time things outside the microwave. And I wish it were more flush with the cupboards. It actually sticks out a few inches. We were more worried about meeting the 18" safety height requirement above the stove when we were measuring.

I have had this for about a week, and I can't believe how much better it cooks than my old microwave! I wanted a shorter unit over my stove, so I had more room above my pots, and this is perfect! My only complaint is that the controls are behind the door, so I have to retrain myself to put in the cook time, etc, before I close the door.

It looks so sleek and fits perfect above the stove top. I love the extra room to cook and do not miss having a taller space for using the microwave. You don’t even miss it.

Love it! The thinner looks sleek in our kitchen. My wife lives the extra space between the stove top and the bottom of microwave. Great choice.
