I've only owned it a year and I'm at wits end with this washer! I'd liked to know why clothes get twisted around each other, and with the flappers at the bottom of the agitator, every time I run a cycle. It happens no matter what type of garments I put in together. This causes the machine to go off balance when it begins to spin, leaving me to spend half an hour untangling heavy, wet, twisted clothes. I dare not leave this washer when it's running or I might have a hole in the wall when I return. I've been washing clothes for 50 years and I've never owned, or known anyone who's owned a washer that does this almost all the time. It's very frustrating to say the least. It must be defective. Extremely unhappy!

This washer was just installed today. It's going back. The washer is VERY loud and annoying throughout the entire cycle. Clothing does not spin appropriately and clothes are too wet for the dryer. Because so little water is, used soap residue was left on the clothing. I've washed three loads and have determined that it is going back.

We had read some reviews that suggested the machine didn't sufficiently spin out and may not have been a good buy. We found the machine to do a great job, clothes are spun out and cleaned well. It's a terrific machine for the money.

I regret buying this washer for 2 reasons. Just a few months after purchase the washer started making a rattling noise. The service technician determined the Gear Case needed to be replaced. When he came back with the Gear Case, he was unable to remove the Agitator (due to a manufacturing issue according to him). He had to come back a third time, break the Agitator to get to the Gear Case, then replace both parts. The noise is fixed, but I'm not impressed with what was needed to fix the issue. The second reason I regret buying this washer is the very loud click noise it makes when transitioning between cycles. If I had heard these noises during a demo, I never would have bought the washer. BTW, I have owned and rented several washers and dryers in my day. Again, I regret this purchase.

These type of machines tend to have problems after the warranty expires. I have no issues since it was installed just 2 weeks ago. So far so good.

After three days I wanted to return this washer but my husband didn't want the hassle. We've had it one year and I regret keeping it. There are three issues for me. The first is that in order for the washer to be on, the lid has to be down and locked so I can't rinse my fingers after touching the detergent. The second is that, when in the spin cycle, it sounds like a washer shaking off balance and about to pull the hose out of the wall. Our washer is downstairs in our garage and we hear it nice and loud upstairs. The third problem is that our clothes feel like they still have detergent in them and we are using HE (high efficiency) detergent. I have no idea if the water is filling up higher than the clothes because I can't open the lid when it's locked down during use. This is the worst purchase we've made in a long time. Don't be tempted by the price unless you are one of those people who doesn't wash your jeans for months in order to save water/the planet.

Bought this washer just 3 years ago. A few months after purchase (while under warranty) we had to have the computer replaced. Has been loud since day one. Now it will not spin. Have replaced numerous parts with no luck!! Just been a headache since beginning.

Purchased this brand name washer to replace an inexpensive washer that had lasted over 10 years, thinking it would last as long , if not more. However, after only 3.5 years it is dead and needs to be replaced, as for cost of repair I can get a new one. Will replace with a different brand, as product is not reliable/durable.

I will list everything that I hate: -too noisy, in all cycles!!! -locking lid -does not fill past half way -does not clean very soiled clothes -the agitator is not tall enough for the full water wash! -not very durable I would not buy this washer again!

This washing machine was pretty loud to begin with. It sounded like an airplane taking off. After a little while, maybe a year, the machine got to be so loud it became impossible to hear the television or even others speak in the house when it was at the end of a cycle. We have to pause what we are watching and wait for the machine to finish. I really wish I could upload a video for you guys to hear how bad it gets. Everything you read online says its a bad bearing. I would have thought the manufacturer would take responsibility for the problem because apparently it is really common. They don't care though. They sent an authorized repair technician out and they said to repair it it would be just over $350. I could get a brand new machine for not that much more. I won't be getting another cabrio or whirlpool at all. The great thing about shopping at Best Buy is they price match.

Got machine home to find damage inside box had to return. Give me a decent discount so I purchase 5 yr warranty. 2 1/2 yrs now trying to use service warranty is a joke!! took 2 days to get thru on phone to geek squad, was referred out to 3rd party service. It is now 3 weeks since we have done laundry. Today was 3rd service all and now I'm told I need a new transmission and control board. Got another appt for next week if parts are available!! Asked for machine to be replaced at this point. Was to tech was only able to make repairs not exchange. Repairs now cost more than a new replacement machine! Spent 3 hrs today on phone with Best Buy, AIG insurance co. ( warranty company) and service company. Total waste of time Looks like I'm stuck with a bad machine or have to buy a new one!! Best buy won't see anymore of my money and forget about their warranty service. SHOP ELSWHERE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lasted 2 years. Won’t spin anymore. Good while it worked. The final spin would always shift the washer all over the place. Would probably not recommend.

Even though there are three of us in the house, I have a hard time filling this machine. Just be wary of the settings or you may wind up with wet clothes at the end. Read the manual. Otherwise it's great!

Day 1 my washer arrived broken. The washer looked in good overall shape when delivered, but when I went to run my first load of laundry it filled with water (This took about 5mins) Then the wash light lit up and nothing happened. I let it sit thinking maybe it takes a while and ended up waiting a half an hour. Nothing happened.. I can hear a very light buzzing noise. I called Geek Squad And Whirlpool for support on what I could try. Neither offered any advice, but to just replace it. Best Buy is sending a new one because I was in the "15" day window. This makes me nervous for how well these are actually created. I hope the new one comes in working condition and hope I have no issues. I'm glad I purchased the extended warranty with Geek Squad. I'll update review when new washer arrives.

OK, average quality. Lasted 4 years until it was not possible to repair anymore. 4 person household.

We chose this one based on prior Whirlpool appliances and reviews on various websites. Two and a half years later and this washer is dead, bad bearings. Repair guy advised us to not sink any more money into this machine. It is disgusting to spend a decent amount of money on a machine that lasts 2 years.

I love this washer! I am not big on the HE models but this one is wonderful. You have the option of a deep water wash, it extracts water on the spin cycle phenomenally, and best of all it runs so quietly. Happy with this purchase!
