After five years we had to repair this washer 3 times. We actually spent the same amount of money to have bought it brand new again. I don’t think it cleans as well as other machines I’ve owned. I would not recommend this model. It was fine for about 5 years

Put this washer on pause. Went back later to restart and woudn't start. Turned off and started cycle again and went outside. Came back 20 minutes later and it had overflowed & damaged carpet, hardwood floors, etc. Whirlpool contracted repair man said he had no idea-works fine. Sensor confusion? Too much soap?? No reason why but it caused major damage and now I don't have a claim against Whirlpool.

Overall I'm satisfied. It has a huge tub that you can fit a comforter into and pillows.

I bought this washer several months ago. I have had no problems using the washer. You MUST follow the instructions or you will have some problems. I'm very happy with this purchase and installation of this product.

I have had nothing but grief with this machine. All of my shirts suddenly have holes in them. Sometimes after 1 wash of a band new shirt. I also can't wash big or thick items like blankets or bathmats. They remain SOAKED. Water everywhere. This is the worst machine and I can't believe that it passed product testing. I am so disappointed and out of a lot of money.

And nothing but problems with it and it fixed one time. I only had a couple years and then had to get it fixed again, but couldn’t get the part so at least they were very good about with the extended warranty being able to replace it. I do appreciate that.

Had this washer for 6 years now and still no issues

This will be my last Whirlpool purchase. I'm so disappointed with this machine. I just wanted a regular washer that had good cycle options. Unfortunately, because I needed to buy a washer asap, I got stuck with this. Paid over my budget since it's HE, but the Amana which was also in stock was not an option. Since I have to wash clothes repeatedly to get them clean, as well as use the spin cycle over and over, I have not found this machine to be "efficient" at all. I called Whirlpool 2x. One rep tells me the clothes have to be put in a certain way...……..yup, done....still lame results. Seems like the machine is temperamental. Next rep says I just have to figure out which settings work best with which clothes on my own. I miss my regular machine. And my clothes don't even smell nice anymore. So sad and so regretting my purchase. What's even sadder , I liked Whirlpool because they built in USA. Wont be buying from them anymore. Bottomline, I would not recommend.

Don't buy is you ever wash anything that is dirty. Unbelievable how poor a job this machine does. After a mountain bike ride, sometimes there is some mud on your clothing. After 2 full washes, on "heavy", "deep wash", 2 rinse cycles, ALL of the mud is still there. Just returned from a trip and had dirty clothing folded up neatly to save space. Dumped the clothing, as is, right from my backpack into the washing machine. Used "medium" dirt setting and "deep wash" (always have to use "deep wash" or some of the clothing doesn't even get fully wet). When i went to switch clothing from washer to dryer, almost all of the clothing was still folded. How could a machine actually clean something if it doesn't even move it around enough that everything isn't still folded. I thought not having an agitator would allow me to more easily wash bulky items. Nope. Bulky items don't even get fully wet. One of the worst appliance purchases i have ever made. My husband just made the suggestion that maybe we just have to go to the laundromat if the clothing has any mud or dirt on it He said this with a serious expression on his face. Frankly, i am shocked at the amount of positive reviews. I love that this is an "efficiently" rated appliance- that goes without saying if you have to wash everything more than once! My mother-in-law has the same washer- she also hates it. Saying "I really don't like this washer" doesn't accurately reflect my negative feelings for it. I don't have a lot money, so buying another washer after only a few months isn't an option. i guess the big corporation got one over on me.

I purchased this machine the end of May 2016. The first machine failed after a week so they brought me another one and this was has more problems than the fist one so they sent out Twin City repair to fix it because it was just over the 30 day return and TC Repair found that the second machine was defective and needed a new control board. The new board they brought in failed too so now I have no washing machine and Best Buy is only referring me back to TC Repair. Will never buy a Whirlpool product again and will choose another dealer who will make things right. To add insult to injury you have to sit on hold for ever to reach anyone and the hold music is so loud its ridiculous.

This is the best Washer, love how it decides on the amount of water needed for a load.

This is by far the best washer I've ever purchase good for washing pretty much anything you want I'm able to do two loads in one wash strongly recommend this washer

My reviews are directed at two things: the Best Buy Communication/installation and the washer itself. First Best Buy salesperson said that the installation crew would install the drip pan under the washer and I needed to have it on site before the installation. He was WRONG - you need a certified plumber to install a drip pan in this area - so free installation is really not free because I now need to pay for a plumber to move the washer, install the drip pan and replace the washer (estimated at $200). The washer sits on the 3rd floor of the house... The first time I used the machine, it had an incredibly loud grinding noise during the wash cycle. My third call to Best Buy for the morning said "that's a service issue" and we'll get Geek Squad to come out. It may be several days......... I don't know the ultimate resolution but I"m incredibly disappointed with the communication and service. BB will not get my new $15k appliance son to be made purchase for the renovation of the house. What was so sad - they didn't seem to care about missing what i consider to be a very large sale.

First, The intermittent on and off buzzing sound is very distracting. "beep...beep...beep." But OK fine. I understand it uses half the water... and "half washes" your clothes. (Normally I fill the drum a little with water... poor detergent... let it fill a little more to disperse the detergent... add clothes... complete water filling and wash). The sensor forces you to put in detergent and clothes in first together dry... then fills just above the clothes line. How can you evenly disperse detergent when you are putting it under dry dirty clothes? I don't know... all I know is that I now double laundry time by doing small loads and therefore double the amount loads to save my clothes from being "half washed" with spotty detergent residue. I use the SAME amount of water but DOUBLE time spent on laundry... efficiency?

It is so loud and annoying! My laundry room is off the kitchen and next to my bedroom. This washing machine is so very loud. It is always sensing, and pulsing, and humming, and banging. I am taking it back tomorrow.

18 months in and it has a horrible grinding noise. Most likely the bearings since it seems like a common issue. When you purchase a big appliance like this you expect it to last longer than a little over a year. Regretted this purchase since day 1. Very loud and doesn't clean. Unfortunately BB is 4 hours away and its just out of the manufacturer's warranty.

I bought a Whirlpoo because I thought they were solid machines with a good name. I then replaced water pump two years after being new. Over 200.00 on a two year old machine. Of course without extended warranty nothig was covered. Would not be a return customer Would not reccomend.
