Big little washer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this washer! Huge interior compared to the compact exterior. LOVE LOVE LOVE the pretreating station inside the unit! My laundry closet (not room) is tight with no stationary tub to soak or pre-wash clothes. The tap and brush inside the washer is what sold it for me and I have not been disappointed! I use it to wash out the liquid detergent cup too. I especially like how the washer pre-balances the load, dilutes and evenly distributes the detergent! It spins and senses the amount of water needed for each load & the controls are easy to use. It's interior is huge, shiny and clean! The entire top is clear and opens WIDE. So easy to load and empty. However, one small gripe? It does run a bit loud when it's running especially when It's filling on smaller loads. All in all I'm very happy with this washer!

Good but a little noisy!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new washer. It's easy to use and my favorite thing is that it has a built in sink. Happy with my purchase. It's a bit noisy while doing the cycles.

Great washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I recently decided to upgrade our washer and dryer. We purchased this washer and the dryer as well. We both love this washer. Its an upgrade from what we had so there is a good amount of diffrrent washing options but I dont believe its overwhelming. It feels like the correct amount of choices. You just select your washing choices then it will sense your garments then add the appropriate amount of water. It does a good job and our clothes feel and smell very clean. I have seen some negative reviews about the water depth and it being loud. First I dont think its any louder than any other washer. I could hear my old one a little bit and I can hear this one a little too. But its not that load at all. Its in our basement and it dosent bother me at all. Second, I have had no issues with the washer not filling up with enough water. Some reviews said when they would wash a large load that the water would not cover the items. I have washed large sheets and comforters and the washer fills all the way up. There is a couple of options as well you can select that add water. Just refer to your manual if you feel like it needs more water. All in all were both pleased with this washer and we would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Washing Machine!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Whirlpool Top Load Washer replaced our Maytag Machine after only 5 years. The Maytag continuously needed service to function. We finally decided to replace it and found the Whirlpool which I really am thankful for. It is wonderful, not noisy, does an excellent job. I like all the selections available. We're thrilled with it!

Whatever you do, do not buy this.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible washing machine, I wish I knew more about it buying purchasing it. First of all, it makes a tremendous loud noise when agitating. And I bought this not even 3 mo. ago and it already broke. First I put my clothes to wash, went to go check on it an hour and half later and it still wasn’t finished. Then it gave me a error message saying I had to contact whirlpool. I turned it off and on again tried it again and then it said I had to use HE detergente which is all I ever used. Tried it one more time cause I had hope, and it said my clothes were unbalanced when it really wasn’t.. I was not a happy camper. I called whirlpool waited 1 hour on hold with no response I hung up and just requested a service appointment online. I’m returning this and never purchasing whirlpool ever in my life.

Worst Machine and Company
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY !This machine does not work at all. It will not let you do small loads or medium loads and even worse heavy loads. I am currently in the process of repairing my machine for the SIXTH time. Whirlpool refuses to replace it. When it decides to wash it will throw load of balance and go from 1hr 1/2 to wash to 2 HRS! It makes loud screeching metal noises. It will work in between repairs maybe 2-3 times. Then the problems vary from not spinning, not draining, going off balance for everything, not sensing and then the famous F7E1 error code. With the money you will spend going to the laundromat you minus well buy a more reliable machine like Speed Queen. You will save ALOT of time and headaches. This has been happening since May! We are already mid August! Don't buy anything Whirlpool related!

Awful washer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hate this washer, it doesn't fill with water to cover your clothes when washing or rinsing it does all this sensing garbage, I have to stand there and add more water to the wash cycle and hope for the best when rinsing! My clothes don't smell fresh like with my 2009 Kenmore! Should have gotten the Samsung front end loaders. They just don't make em like they use to!

Plastic feet died at 3 months, dropping motor to f
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just past the 3 month mark, I noticed it making a funny noise, like slipping gears or grinding bearings. It turns the plastic (!) feet under the front have collapsed, dropping the motor all the way to the floor, and now it can't spin. This seems like fundamentally poor design.

Great purchase with great features
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After our ancient washing machine started rusting inside, I started researching washing machines. I eventually decided on this one and it has not failed us yet! I wanted to keep the upright agitator, and I also liked that this machine allows you to change the water level yourself which seemed like a common complaint with other new machines. I don’t have a sink in the laundry room so the built in one is awesome. The added scrub brush seemed cool but it leaks out into the tray so I don’t actually fill it with detergent. I read the manual and all the suggestions for washing, and so far my clothes have come out clean every time, no leftover stains or issues. I have a door on my laundry room but I don’t personally think the machine is “too loud” even when I leave the door open. I love that I can wash fairly clean loads in just over 30 minutes, but I personally do not mind running the normal cycle on clothes that need a good wash (aka anything with an odor, work clothes, hunting clothes, etc), which can be around 1-1.5 hours. All in all, we love this machine and how customizable it is depending on whatever we need to clean!

So far it is a good washer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this to replace a high capacity 5.3 Samsung Topload washing machine and so far we are happy with the purchase. At 4.7, the drum is big enough to easily handle a king-size quilt. The control panel is easy to master. As any washer with the agitator, this machine uses more water and tends to be noisy starting out .. But the agitator helps with the washing cycle making the cloth come out much cleaner and fresh. Comparing with the former washing machine, this machine is much faster cycle time and cloth come out much cleaner as well. This is the first Whirlpool washer we have so it may take us a little more time to judge on its durability and reliability for the long run. From what we see so far, we would recommend this machine.

Decent washer with Deep Water and Pretreat Station
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this washer for the deep water feature. The pretreat station is a bonus. I can't say it cleans better than the Whirlpool washer we had for 25+ years. The way the small agitator works seems to keep clothes in the same place through the whole washing cycle. So we have some doubts that the bulky items or clothes on top truly get cleaned. I don't understand why some reviews are saying the machine is quiet. It is not. The agitator rotates clockwise for 1 second and then counterclockwise for another second. I suspect the unique sound is from some sort of mechanical braking. The sound is not continuous. It is quite loud and disturbing. I don't think there are many alternatives that would actually wash well with enough water. This washer is already a huge improvement over the 1-year old Maytag front load washer that came with our new home. So we will learn to like it more.

4.7 size Washer with mixed reviews.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: the capacity is amazing. My parents have this exact washer, but they have the bigger 5.5 load with an impeller. This 4.7 size is better for me because with my parent’s machine, I had to lean on the machine and reach way down to get the clothes out and I don’t like outrun gym stomach on top of the machine to balance myself. My parents use tongs to get the clothes out of their 5.5 load, so this 4.7 model I have no issue getting my clothes out and washing my king size comforter with ease. I also REALLY ENJOY the clear lid so I can see what’s happening during the wash cycle. The tub is a nice shiny metal which looks really good. I’m coming from an Amana washer, which I enjoyed, that I’ve had since 2013 but all the pros I mentioned above are advantages the Amana didn’t have. Cons: 1. not a fan of everything being so technological with touch functions and sensors. The more technology a machine has, the more likely you are to face repairs. 2. The agitator appears too small for the tub size. Watching the agitator work, the clothes just sort of slowly circulate around the tub without being pushed from the top to the bottom. Whirlpool, if they care about their customers, really need to get back to the drawing board and develop a more effective agitator for this machine that actually pushes the clothes around and up and down the machine. 3. “High Effecieny” it was a learning curve for me to work around the low water functions, but I found out if I turned the machine on certain touch pad functions, I could adjust the water level to max fill or high fill by touching the Deep Water or Deep Fill button at the bottom when I have selected the type of wash I wanted. Reading reviews, it appears the older crowd, no offense, is having a hard time changing the water level and their clothes end up dry. I hope they are reading my review and they start to play with the functions of Deep Fill so their clothes will actually be submerged. I know this is a dumb government regulation that is in effect, but the touch keys are too hard for some of the older people to understand which is why they think they can’t submerge the clothes. Make a more simple Machine with a larger capacity. 4. This machine is in fact WAY TOO LOUD.

WTW5105 - Aug. 2022 -- Seems okay
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.August, 2022. My 30+ yr. old Maytag washer died the other day. This Whirlpool WTW5105HW launched me into an entirely new world of washing technology. It's a bit befuddling. The washer seems to do an okay job of cleaning. I've done about a dozen loads before writing this review. I have noticed only two issues as far as cleaning. 1. Some stains on white socks did not come completely out -- dog ear wax was one. This may be a detergent problem as the socks washed for nearly 90 minutes. 2. A dark wash rag had a lighter colored streak appear on it. This has happened before with the old machine, so I don't necessary attribute this to the Whirlpool. Some other observations --. A. The machine is a bit noisy. The way it agitates by spinning its bottom and its basket in opposite directions to scrub the clothes is noisier than my old machine. I need to close the laundry room door to reduce the noise. Not terrible, just not welcome. B. The manual is nearly worthless and the version on the website is the same thing. C. There is no way I can find to do just a rinse and spin cycle for something I hand wash. That's a big omission on a machine with a dozen buttons. D. The cycle time can be much longer than my old machine that handled everything in about 35 minutes. The cycle times are long running from about an hour to and hour and half depending on the settings. There is a shorter cycle, but normal ones are long. E. The washer starts agitating before it has filled with all the water it will use. This is disconcerting when you look in and see your clothes being rubbed back and forth without much water. F. All the new machines use much less water and leave a huge amount of unused volume in the basket unless you are doing laundry for a family of six. G. The machine uses HE detergent which means a much smaller amount of detergent and almost no suds. That makes it hard to know if you are really cleaning clothes when all you see is murky water barely above the clothes. H. Whoever thought it was neat to be able to look through a glass top into an empty washer when it is not in use is not a stable genius. I cut a piece of outdoor carpet runner to put on top of the washer to protect the glass and avoid staring into the abyss of an empty washer. (See photo.) I. I like the fast spin option to help save time in the dryer. In summary, I think this is a good washer, but the way it works makes it hard to tell. The clothes seem to be clean and that is what counts the most. Let's see it this one will last 30 years like the old Maytag.

Whirlpool Washing Machine
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had to replace our Samsung Washer with this one. It has been wonderful, and have no complaints. It has a setting to remind you to clean the washer after so many loads, which is awesome since my husbands clothes from work are usually covered in muck. The machine is not as quite as the Samsung, but it does a much better job at getting the clothes clean. I have no regrets with this washer. Aways get a warranty on these products, it will save you in the long run. I recommend a 5 year. It's a little pricy but worth it if the machine has issues, but also have the employee selling you the item to explain the warranty before you purchase it and read the info, this will save you time on the phone if something does go wrong and you need to use the warranty.

Make sure they hook it up correctly
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Day 1 and I will update you on the washer- service was ok, Things to look out for so your washer has a good first start. 1-make sure when they hook up your washer to the water hose they don’t strip the hook up on the washer - it’s plastic. 2. Don’t let them leave until they level the washer using a leveler - my mistake - was not done. 3. Make sure your drainage hose is secure. - it is a bit noisy but that does not bother me. It seems to work well. I like the washer and hope for the best- you only have 2wks to make sure it works well or you need to deal with Whirlpool not Best Buy. Wash different types of laundry so you know it works well.

Love it - but it's a little loud
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this washer and almost everything about it. The ONLY negative is that it is very loud when it spins out. It doesn't move, and it's balanced, but it's still super loud. All the additional features and settings are amazing, though and I love the huge capacity of this model.

My Whirlpool washing machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a Great job but it is noisy. Love the extra features such as the water available in the machine for treating stains. The only thing is that the men who installed the machine, placed it to close to the doors and since I am 84 can not move them back so I can close the doors. I do not have a smart phone to post pictures either.
