Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Cabrio 4.8 Cu. Ft. 26-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Top-Loading Washer's large capacity, excellent cleaning performance, and quiet operation. Many appreciate its ease of use and the added benefit of the steam feature. While some noted that the spin cycle could be improved and expressed preference for an agitator-less design, the positive feedback on other aspects outweighs these concerns. The price point also receives favorable comments.

I love this washer. Easy to use, saves on water, tells you how long the load will take even. I have nothing bad to say. It has made my life so much easier. Even the kids like washing their own clothes.

This washer has a huge tub for large loads. It gets clothes just as clean as my high effieciency front loader did and it's easier to navigate since it's a top loader.

I really like this washer!! I can finally wash my king size comforters at home. I also like the separate containers for the soap softener and bleach. This is a fantastic top loader washing machine; compared to my front loader which I never felt like my clothes were clean.

Nice washer. Last whirlpool washer died and it was an upright and we had this for 15 years. Wow. Many improvements. No spindle in the middle this time. This one is quiet and efficient. Seems to take longer to wash than the old one, but still runs nice. This one seems very quiet except for the usual times that all washers drain. No annoying end buzzer but a nice musical tone. My wife is happy with it. Wish the lid was more transparent as it is a shade dark because we are all curious how it runs and want to see inside while it is running.

My wonderful Kenmore died at 5 years. I wanted a large tub, so I chose the Cabrio. In the one month we've owned this, I have noticed clothes aren't washed well at all. Either there is soap, lint, or large dry areas on the clothing. Dark clothes don't do well. Often, with only 2 king sheets, it becomes off balanced. I would return it if I could. I have tried the deep water option.

I am very happy with this washer. I read several reviews prior to purchasing, and was a little skeptical. I’ve had for 2 moths and no issues. Just a tad noisy. We can get a ton of clothes into the washer, have not had issue with dry clothes or poor stain removal as many reviews mentioned.

My old washer that I had for almost ten years quit working and I went to Best Buy to purchase a new washer. I had two options in mind after checking out the washers. I wanted to purchase something like what I had before since it lasted so long. The sales person recommended the Whirpool Cabrio and I did like it but wasn't sure about the digital buttons and not having the agitator. This washer was on sale which was nice. Once I got it home and used it I was pleased. I like how you have many options to choose when washing and a timer to let you know how long till the load is finished. I also like that the drum is large and you can wash your comforters and bulky items.

I wasn't interested in a top loader, as my LG top-loader died after 5 years of below average use (leaving my household of 5 plus a dog without a washer for 3 weeks). Whereas my decade old Fridgedaire front-loader is still going strong under my sister's ownership. I was advised which brands to avoid by a washer serviceman friend-of-the-family. Whirlpool got the OK. This washer met my capasity and price needs. I took it home and tried to beat the breaks off of it. I washed several full loads back to back for 36hrs. It took the beating and returned clean clothes. Some reviewers say it's loud. I haven't experinced this, unless the load is grossly unbalanced. Furthermore, my laundry room is upstairs, therefore easy to hear. I prefer the Deep Water setting, which probably negates some of my water savings, but the clothes get really clean. I only use H.E. liquid detergent, plus I throw a half cup of baking soda in the tub during the wash cycle. When I remember I used white vinegar instead of fabric softener. The clothes get a clean, but neutral smell this way. Had I been able to get the next model up with the smartphone connectivity I would have, as if I'm downstairs I may not hear the end chime. I took off a star as it wasn't what I wanted, but it's meeting my needs.

Very impressed with the Cabrio washer. It does take a little longer to do a load than our old agitator style machine, but uses a fraction of the water to do much larger loads. We can actually do a set of queen size sheets along with our comforter in one load.

We've had this washer for over a month, so I feel this is a fair review. The washer doesn't get my clothes clean. I've tried using homemade powdered detergent and store bought (Purex) detergent, so I'm thinking it's safe to say detergent is not the issue. I don't feel that the agitator-less washer is the way to go. I'm only keep it because it's one of the few washers that will fit in our too small, afterthought of a laundry room.

It is everything that all the reviews said. It gets things cleaner than my old standard washer, which is super important with kids and stains. It even holds our King size comforter and washes with ease. The only I was not prepared for was that during the changes in the cycle it makes a few knocking noises or clicks in between the cycles. Other than that is it great and would buy again.
