Cleans the cloths well. Very easy to operate. It would be nice to have the option to turn off the sounds, but I knew it's not possible when I bought it. Very quiet operation and the high spin gets most of the water out of the cloths, makes the dryer work much easier.

Purchased to replace older Duet washer which we had for 11 years. After researching decided that this model offered similar features from previously owned model and we would be able to use our existing pedestal base. Purchased it on sale and very happy with performance of it so far. The cycle times seem faster and indicator for remaining time seems to be more accurate. Like the options of adjusting temperature and spin speeds on each individual cycle or you can just use the preset options. Clothes are drier with fast spin, but more wrinkled. Just takes some experimentation to find the settings that get the wanted results.

This is a very solid unit. Our old one, a top-loader, would come unbalanced as well as move around from vibration. Not this unit: it's heavy and solid-feeling. It's also way quieter than our old one. Very surprised how well built it looks and the overall quality for the price. It washes very well. Added the detergent is easy because the little pullout drawer is convenient. The controls are a bit touchy. For instance, if you lean over it or brush against it, you can easily trigger unintended button-pushes. It happened while I was installing, and to my wife a few times. It hasn't happened since we realized it was sensitive though, so not a big deal. The only other con was the bizarrely complicated method for switching the door hinge. It was like 15-20 screws and a bunch of steps. Tip: when you read the instructions, make sure you scan until you find the description of the unit you purchased. Sounds obvious, but it was hard to understand and I selected the wrong one at first and inadvertently rotated the glass. This unit doesn't need the glass rotated. So it's a bunch of screws but not too hard. Very happy with the purchase. It is well-built, heavy, cleans well, and quiet. Definitely recommend.

Good, quiet operation. Seems to clean clothes. Definitely gets more water out during the spin cycle than old washers. Delivery was on the day and time they specified. Arrived undamaged. Haven't used every setting yet, but it is easy to learn to use. Still trying to get used to a front loader, but we were told there is a learning curve. We just switched after our 20 year old top loader died.

I love this washer because it uses less water, does a GREAT job, spins out most of the moisture so the dryer works less, is quiet and we're saving money. Thank you Whirlpool!

If you are looking for a great washer at a excellent price, this is the one you want. It might not have all the extra features, but honestly, how much do you use them? This washer gets the job done and does it well. I have had this Washer for 2 months now and I must say it is the best washer I have ever used. I highly recommend this washer and dryer combo.

I went to best buy just to look at washers. This one caught my eye. My household was in desperate need of a new washer so I bit cause it was on sell.
Pros:
-Doesn't use alot of water to wash cloths
-can take on large load of cloths
-cleans very well
-so many different cycles
Cons:
- some cycles are long ( over 90 mins long)
- small socks and cloths get stuck in between the rubber seals
- when opening the slot to insert detergent, bleach, etc water runs down the washer ( not alot but enough to notice
Overall this is a great washer worth the money. if you can catch it on sale even better.

I love having a new washer and there is none, absolutely none of rhe odor I was warned about with front loaders. I just leave the door open between washes. Once or twice I had to push the button twice to activate wash, but it works well other than that , is quiet and clothes come out of spin cycle feeling almost dry. Good price, good machine.

Was looking to replace our first generation Neptune, which had recently begun to fail during the wash cycles. I am very pleased so far with our decision to purchase this washer: there are ample wash cycles to choose from, either pre-programmed, or customizable for your load. One thing that I did read ahead of time was to wipe down the washer door interior, and the interior of the rubber gasket after the last wash load (of the day), and then to allow the door to stand open. This prevents mold at the rubber gasket (a problem we faced with our old Neptune). Additionally, I am removing/wiping down the detergent drawer when I'm done for the day, and allowing it to rest atop the washer to air everything out. This little bit of maintenance is well worth having a clean and functioning washing machine.

Coming down from a Samsung washer that had all the bells and whistles to this Whirlpool has made me a believer set the humble entry level washers such as this have more than enough washing finesse to make up for lack of steam cleaning found in top end washers. The soft touch sensors on the front panel work like a charm. I have been noticed my clothes come out looking much cleaner and vibrant using this washer with the same detergent as the previous front end. Runs silent with minimal vibration with small medium and large loads. Overall after 2 months of ownership I am impressed with this washer have not found anything that I do not like. There are sufficient number of wash cycles to allow for cleaning of all my household fabrics

I have had my machine now for about 5 weeks and have no complaints. I disagree with some people who wrote that it is too loud. The only noise I hear is when it spins. The buzzer to indicate the load is done is not an issue. I am glad to know. Besides, it can be turned OFF if necessary.
The first load I washed was a comforter and a pillow and it did a terrific job washing. I love not having an agitator any more. I did not buy the pedestal and do not have any problems with the height.
I found a lower price elsewhere (just a few dollars) and Best buy matched it. I haven't received a water bill yet to see if it will affect my water usage but I did receive a $100 account credit (rebate) from my water utility and a $50 rebate check back from PG& E. That effectively knocked the price down further.

I needed a washer immediately as 20 year old front loader quit emptying and clothes not going through rinse cycle. I had smelly laundry and before holidays started shopping. This whirlpool design is very functional and easy to use. It is an energy efficient model with a large capacity. The best part is all of the options to chose from and a powerful spin cycle. Just what I wanted made in USA.

Love my front load washer it washes my clothes better and Cleaner than any other washer I have used! Except the start button I have to press it hard and hold it for 3 seconds before the washer will start other than that it works great.

Just bought this and am completely floored at how nicely it cleans my clothes. Used a shared top-loader for several years and never felt as though things weren't clean, until I started using this washer. I'm very pleased with the overall cleanliness and smell of my clothing and have even been using considerably lower amounts of soap in the machine. My wife loves all of the settings available to knock out stains from various fabrics.

good washer, big and can fit a family load easily, weights the clothes itself so you don't need to figure out how much water you need, you just put the clothes inside and put the detergent in the he area and select your washing style and be done. Since these is the new type of washer it uses HE detergent, you can't use older detergent because the older ones create too much foam and residue and can damage the internals of the machine. Clothes come out good, clean and non soapy after the wash.

Basic Washer, Does the job!

My last washer had many bells and whistles, most of which I never used. So this time around I just wanted something basic. After all, the more features and functions the more things that can and do eventually break! The washer does a great job. My only complaints are that you do not have an option to do different size loads,(My oversight when shopping) and the sound indicator when you start the washer as well as when a load is done cannot be turned down or turned off. The noise is annoying. Sounds like an obnoxious smart phone ring tone, and it is loud! Other than that a good washer for the price.
