I have a Whirlpool fridge that requires this filter. For a few years, I bought them at my local Best Buy, but they stopped stocking it. I started ordering from the warehouse. Last fall, I ordered one from the big A to Z online retailer - our water from the fridge tasted like plastic. I recently ordered a new one from Best Buy, and the plastic aftertaste is gone. The filter itself is easy to install, but the draining process of running four gallons of water through is a little tedious. Once set, the filter works great. The high cost lead me to sign up for Best Buy's subscription to save a little on the filter in the future.

It’s sometimes hard to realize how much we depend on effectively filtered clean water from our 25 year old side by side KitchenAid refrigerator. Thankfully, over the years, over the corporate mergers and and acquisitions, this filter is still available, and still simple to replace. Our water and ice cubes are healthier and taste so much better than what our tap water produces

I like this genuine Whirlpool filter because it makes the water taste better and the fit is perfect and easy to install without any leakage.

Needed to replace OEM Whirlpool water filter, without worrying about compatibility fit. This was what was needed, notably manufactured in Taiwan. It matches the physical profile of original oem manufactured older filters from Whirlpool, verified upon examination at store visually. Wish they didn't increase the price so much over older original filters manufactured by Whirlpool.

It worked and was easy to install. New brand, so unable to say if it will last as long as the previous name brand I had. The price is WAY to high, but always has been

Bought this filter for a 20-year-old Kenmore refrigerator. Perfect fit and the water pressure is unaffected. No "filtered taste" whatsoever like with some other brands. Will definitely buy again.
