Wildflowers is the second solo studio album by Tom Petty and was released on November 1, 1994. There were 16 other musicians, including Ringo Starr, who played the drums on "To Find a Friend". This rock album has 16 songs and is over 62 minutes. Rolling Stone placed Wildflowers at number 12 on their list of the best albums of the 1990's.

I liked "You Don't Know How It Feels" when it came out, but I had no desire to check out the album then. Now that I've heard other tracks from this and I'm in a reflective mood after Tom's death, I went back to check this out in full. From the title track to "You Wreck Me" (which I heard too many times at its peak to appreciate) to the gentle vibe on "It's Good to be King" the album shifts tones wonderfully. Then there's the hard rocker "Honey Bee," the seductive and almost perverse vibe on "Cabin Down Below," and the forlorn voice in "Crawling Back to You." An album full of hidden gems.

This a great Tom Petty album all the way through. If you like Tom Petty, buy this album. You won't regret it. So many songs on here I forgot about.

I had the pleasure of attending a Tom Petty concert in Philadelphia literally WEEKS before the shocking news of his passing hit the world. I've love him since I first heard him back in the late 70's, but I somewhat forgot some of the classic songs he performed from "Wildflowers." Although this album dates back to 1994, it STILL sounds great. The title song is now a sweet memory of Tom, "You Don't Know How It Feels," "You Wreck Me," "Honey Bee," the funky "Cabin Down Below," the tender ballads "Hard On Me" and "To Find A Friend" - these are some of the finest songs Mr. Petty ever did - with or without The Heartbreakers. Thank you for all the great musical moments, Tom. Trying to deal with your passing while listening to this classic album is, indeed, THE HARDEST PART!

Moe acoustic, less rock than other Tom Petty I've heard. Sorry he passed away.

Its a good cd. Other than the greatest hits. I believe that it's the best one.
