I purchased to track my weight and to link it to my fitbit dashboard. The scale works easily and perfectly. I use it only for actual weight not for body fat. It syncs immediately to my Fitbit app on my iphone. It also syncs to MyFitnessPal. I have been using this for a month with no issues. As soon as someone else stands on the scale that is not my weight, it recognizes that a different person has stepped on the scale (in this case, my kids). Works seamlessly and so far has been terrific.

Great Wireless Scale

After undertaking a recent lifestyle change and being a gadget geek, I wanted to try out a wireless scale the had the ability to connect with the various fitness apps that I am using to log my progress. The Withings wireless scale fits that bill. It's a bit pricey, however, I looked at it as an investment in my health. I find it to be accurate and easy to use. The best part is that with all of it's syncing ability, logging results is as easy as connecting through bluetooth. If you're looking for a great wireless, I recommend looking into the Withings.

Fairly accurate scale, makes it easy to keep track

This scale is fairly accurate (I find it to show slightly more weight than other scales, and makes it very easy for me to keep track of my progress (or some weeks, lack thereof). You don't even need to look at the companion app to see your progress, the scale tells you each day how you are compared to the last 5.
One nice unexpected feature is the daily weather report the scale gives you. This has saved me at least one time, reminding me to grab my umbrella before leaving for work.

Great Scale - Terrible Software

I like the scale fine. It's easy to use, seems to be quite accurate and repeatable, and appears to be well designed and well made. The software, however, is terrible. First, do not believe their ads that say you can use it with an iPad. You can't. The software for iPad that links to the scale doesn't even exist in the App store. The scale only works with an iPhone. Even then it is unreliable and does't always capture the weight reading, and once there is not user friendly nor even comprehensible at times. You can't even edit out a bogus reading, like if a child plays with the scale, even if they say you can.
The readings also do not sync across platforms, so if you edit the data on their web site it doesn't change in the phone. Documentation is virtually nonexistent. This could be a five star product if Withings would only hire some competent software engineers and provide some decent customer support. As it stands now I couldn't recommend this product unless you are OK with manually writing down readings and graphing them yourself.

Took a bit to setup but works GREAT NOW

I struggled a little setting it up but it works great now. I have it linked with my Jawbone UP application and with IFITT. The issue was a delay in updating through this method. Once I figured this out - its been trouble free ever since. I us it to take my weight and BMI and both of these values are passed to my Tablet running the UP application. Really pleased. I may go on to purchase the Withings Blood Pressure device.

Another Tool in My Weight Loss

I really like the wireless scale since I have it synced to two apps (Lose It! and Withings). The scale sends your weigh in which you tap on the Withings app. The Withings app is synced to my Lose It! app and adjusts my weight accordingly. About my only suggestion is that that Withings app would also sync to my Fitbit app and adjust the weight there. The Withings app lets you know what the battery level is on the scale (click my devices).

I bought this scale because it was compatible with myfitnesspal and would update to the Healthmate app. My initial impression was it was really hard to set up. I initially tried to set it up to my wifi and it never would connect for some reason. I got tired of fooling with it and finally just hooked it up by bluetooth. This worked, but lost some functionality, but it was ok. Stayed this way for about a month, then the app updated and it wouldn't upload automatically or connect through bluetooth. So I started again with trying to set up with wifi. Same problems, tried about 10 times, didn't work, and gave up. A couple of days later when I was on the scale, it gave me the weather, a graph of my recent loss, etc. It's working by wifi! Not sure what changed, but it has worked flawlessly since then. I love the convenience and very happy with it. Glad I stuck with it and didn't return it.

Like the simplicity of the scale and sleek design. It does an excellent job of recognizing the users. Tracking and goal features are good. I have had a couple of issues with weather being inaccurate but no big deal. Setup instructions are a little ambiguous has the Apple model of 'it's so simple it's intuitive' but it is not. Has to connect to the internet before you connect your phone. I ended up setting up an account on a laptop first and then connected the scale which I could then find it via bluetooth on the phone. The phone app is good but fairly basic. Granted there is only so much you can do with weight measurements. I would like to have the ability to set parameters/graph types on the dashboards.

set-up

Set-up is difficult took several hours to get it to connect to Wi-Fi, If you are trying to connect to fitbit app, be prepared to be frustrated, you will need to download connection from Withings website instead of the set-up instructions. Once you get the scale set-up it is easy to use and sync stats. The biggest con is the set-up time, difficulty in linking to other apps. The Pros is easy of tracking your weight, BMI, and weight limit goes up to 395, unlike the fitbit aria which only goes to 350.

Works as intended. After setting the scale up via Bluetooth, it then asks to be setup over WiFi. The WiFi is a little finicky to setup and takes multiple tries to get it working. After setting up the scale, you setup a profile on the smartphone via the app. It works in this order: Step on scale > wait for weight > wait for BMI > quick flash of current weather and today's forecast via simple icons.

Was fairly easy to set up with my iPhone. My son began using before he was set up and it recognized it was not me. It seperated his readings and after he set up the app I was able to assign his readings to him. Great for the whole family. Makes keeping track of goals very convenient.
It looks good in my bathroom. I love it.

This is my first smart scale and I am impressed. No connectivity issues. There is a corresponding app which is very easy to use. There may be more comprehensive scales out there, but if you are looking for a basic and accurate smart scale, look no further.

I love how the scale automatically syncs to the application as well as the applications that it can be synced. I use myfitnesspal along with other apps. Everything goes through myfitnesspal which makes it that much easier to track.
