I was a little surprised the battery life on this door cam does not last very long. I did trade out the battery just to make sure but still the battery goes dead. I believe in two weeks or less for us. Does have a good picture and I do like the two camera feature.

Wyze doorbell, the new one

When you finally get it setup it works very well, especially the dual camera concept. The install process is confusing and takes a significant amount of time. Also, they have yet to make the Duo Cam work in the Alexa app. Come on Wyze get your act together

Posted .Hi there! We understand how frustrating it can be when your Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell experiences lag or misses important events. Here are some steps you can take to improve performance and event capture:
Check Signal Strength:
In the Wyze app, go to the doorbell’s settings > Device Info > Signal Strength.
If you see 2 bars or less, try moving your Wi-Fi router closer to the doorbell or improving your network connection.
Lower Video Resolution:
2K resolution uses more bandwidth and can cause lag or missed footage. Lowering the resolution may help with smoother streaming and better event capture.
Adjust Event Recording Settings:
Go to the doorbell’s settings > Event Recording and ensure Motion is enabled.
For users without a Wyze Services subscription:
Select All Events and tap Customize Detections.
Make sure both Tag and Notify are checked for Other Motion.
For Wyze Services subscribers:
Select Smart Detection Events and tap Customize Recordings.
Only select the specific types of AI motion you want to trigger recordings to reduce unnecessary videos.
Update Firmware and App:
Make sure your Wyze app and the doorbell’s firmware are up to date for the best performance.
Power Cycle the Doorbell:
If battery-powered: Remove the battery pack for 10 seconds, then reinsert it.
If hardwired: Flip the breaker off for 10 seconds, then back on.

Too good to be true

Battery life is horrendous for a device thats offline so often. Device supprt says its a firmware issue thats being resovled but reading up this has been a Wyze issue for years. Going back to ring

Rechargeable battery , package detection . Great clarity on the video . Go and pick up your now.
