What can you say about the X-Files besides it being awesome!? The show slowly is going downhill, but none the less it's still a terrific show and much better than what is on TV these days. Makes me sound like an old guy, but seriously watch this series if you haven't.

One of the best TV shows ever made. Worth hinge watching all seasons and movies in a row. Make sure not to miss any of the spin off shows.

Season 8 of the X-Files continues where season 7 left off following Agent Scully searching for Agent Mulder after his disappearance at the end of season 7.

In a world of cookie cutter entertainments, The X-Files was largely sui generis and continues to be one of the more distinctive entries in series television of the past couple of decades. Fans are already jonesin' for the reboot, but will at least have this massive new set to keep them knee high (or higher) in conspiracy theory until the new version begins airing in 2016. While some fans are understandably upset about the absence of the original aspect ratios for the first few seasons and/or the kind of weird decision to replace the show's iconic fonts, when taking this release as a whole, The X-Files season 8 blu comes Highly recommended.

If you are reading this review then you are an X Files fan. This is hands down one of the best science fiction series out there, I was sad when the series ended. I purchased all 9 seasons on DVD and very happy with the series on DVD with one complaint, the inability to watch each show consecutively. Currently, when an episode ends, I have to select the next one and click play, I don’t know what they were thinking when they created these DVD’s but they are all like this. I want to be able to click play and watch the all episodes on the DVD without being prompted click play just to watch the next episode.

The X-files has been a TV show that I really enjoy watching. I really enjoy the stores and the actors. The extra are really great and I had to tell you season 8 was really enjoyable to watch again, again. The X-files TV show really make a person think about what is going on in the world and how it effects the out come of us. The price was ok, but if your a true fan all of the seasons are a must have.

I can't say enough positive things about The X-Files. Probably one of the greatest TV series to grace primetime. That being said, this is yet another excellent season. NOTE: Some copies of the 8th season have black levels that exceed the norm - a quick Google search will show comparisons of correct and incorrect black levels. My copies were fine, but if yours isn't adequate, replacement discs are being sent out while supplies last. Just a heads up.

I think that "The X-Files: The Complete Eighth Season" was one of the greatest series of all-time and it was also one of my favorite series of all-time. I really enjoyed all of the action, mystery, suspense, drama and horror that kept this series very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that "The X-Files: The Complete Eighth Season" had a really great and amazing cast, plots and storylines as well.

My minority view is that a little Mulder goes a long way, so the addition of Robert Patrick's John Dogget is a big plus for this season. The stories are pretty interesting, though the visuals strike me as overly dark this time around (Blu-ray version). Of course, it's a dark show anyway, so maybe this is an aesthetic choice. At $10 for the Blu-ray set, it's a no-brainer for loyal fans.

In Season 8, the X-Files began to lose a little steam because Mulder's status was unknown. Scully takes on a new partner, John Daggett, who holds up quite well. The chemistry that took 7 years to create, though, between Mulder and Scully is somewhat lost as she searches for her "lost" or dead partner. There's plenty going on though in this season that makes it worth viewing.

Picked up the individual seasons on sale at Best Buy. Being an owner of the DVD version of the series, it's AMAZING the transfer to Blu Ray. Almost felt new watching the series again in the format. If you grew up loving the X-Files, pick up the Blu Ray versions of the season...definitely worth the money!

A lot of fans are down on Seasons 8 and 9 because of the lack of Mulder, but Gillian Anderson carries this season well and, along with Mitch Pileggi and Robert Patrick, really keep the show alive. Throw in the extra bonus features on these discs and they'll keep any fan thoroughly entertained!

Pleased with the upgrade to blu-ray/high def. Dissapointed by lack of extras (this show should be stuffed with extras and I'm hoping they will go back and work on that) and include a digital copy. I will double dip if needed and happy with the current versions, but craving more behind the scenes from each season.

I still enjoyed the show with new comers Robert and Annabell but just the occasional Fox Mulder sightings was disappointing. I would have to say that the last two seasons were okay. I would only buy seasons eight and nine because I am a fan of the show.

Season 8 was a season that had Scully searching for Mulder. The introduction of John Doggett and a new baby. This was a good season that led to the final season, but it is important because it helps set up the current revival season on FOX. Must See!!!

For the collection.... I have loved the X Files series since they where aired in my highschool days. A trip down memory lane? Maybe! But as with all things we perceive, time is our worst enemy

The GOAT of TV series in my opinion. Sure, like most things it tailed off in the end but that does not take away from the greatness of the first several seasons. Definite upgrade over the DVDs.

John Doggett is definitely not Fox Mulder but he has his own good qualities. Doggett and Scully make a good team also. BTW, be sure the check your Season 8 set for the potential "Black Crush" video problem.

Scully get another baby, and new character John Doggett. much more like. Still Monster, UFO...the story very interesting, but there is blue ray issued. Someone said black levels issue, mine is ok. Everyone should be check up.

This is definitely not the best season for X-Files. I would say it is the worst one of the bunch. But not bad to watch. Amazing job with the restoration. Looks as if it was made recently. Awesome picture and sound. Great for fans!
