A fresh game with a splash of assassins creed and ryse. The combat is intense, detailed and gruesome! Very cool rank system for the enemies. If a random enemy kills he becomes a captain and increases in power and rank. The environment is average looking but the enemies are extremely detailed and very original looking! You CANNOT equip different types of swords or bows but you can equip perks for each! No multiplayer at all other than leaderboards. Solid back story.

Great game especially for the current price. Longer and more fun than previous LOTR games and is open world.

Very fun open world game. The combat is a lot of fun. Not the biggest and best game ever, but very fun for both lord of the rings and non lord of the rings fans.

Graphics in the game are great, the fighting is similar to dark knight, everything about the game is dope

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is like a cross between Dynasty Warriors and Assassin's Creed. Combat is very fast-paced and combo oriented, with a decent emphasis on blocking/countering due to mobs of enemies who can take a decent amount of health off in one hit. Think Arkham Asylum, but with the stealth & instant-kill mechanics of Assassin's Creed worked in, although Shadow of Mordor adds a dedicated stealth button to make sneaking better.

This game looked promising when it was being showed prior to release but this far exceeds anything I could have hoped for. I wish there was a little more variety in the characters but the nemesis system gives them so much personality that it doesn't really matter in the end. If you ever liked playing the assassins creed series or the batman arkham series and you are in to the lord of the rings series of movies or books this is a must have.

Great button masher and decent story line. The dlc was nice as well. of you like games like assasin creed and arkham asylum then you'll enjoy this game

Game was awesome, found the gameplay was great, controls tight. It was an overall fun game. Loved it!!

Microsoft's Xbox One offers impressive graphics and can integrate and control live TV with Kinect (which will drive the price up by $100). The Xbox One has a slightly better roster of exclusive games going into 2015 compared to that of the PS4. Xbox Live Gold is no longer required for basic streaming apps and synced game-saves, and the Microsoft console has a slightly better selection of those media apps than PS4 at the current time.

Unfair to compare length to Elder Scroll Series, but after a while the tasks and side quests are too repetitive. Overall campaign is too short.

The game is amazing, I highly Recommend it. The combat system and open world experience is endless and the game is still fun, after beating the campaign. The main story line is incredible and allows you to learn a little bit about the history of Middle Earth and the Rings of Power.

Got it for $14 with gamers club unlocked. Amazing value and a lot of fun. Highly recommended

Fun open world game if you like the Batman Arkham collection. Bit of a button masher but still enjoyable. Good story line and lots of missions.

This is a great game and is tons of fun. Unfortunately, the game does have a downside where it can become a bit repetitive. You simply start going through the same actions over and over again, take out an enemy leader and/or promote one under your control, rinse and repeat until finished. There's plenty of stuff to do and if you're a fan of the LOTR franchise, definitely give this a look. I would however recommend getting the GOTY edition that was released that includes all of the DLC rather than this older plain original version.

I was very happy with this game. I had little knowledge of the game beforehand and found the gameplay very smooth and the story engaging.
