i already have pc version of the game so i bought this to play on the go. as i expected, graphic was worse and visibility of UI was worse too but the game run fine except a few lags on menu screens. price is not high, either

Great game with in depth tactics. Surprised that this runs on the Switch.

This game is really great. Only downside I have found is the occasional crash and then mainly the load times are forever, but can't blame it for all the little details it has to keep track of. I would 100% buy other XCOM or XCOM style games for the switch.

My friend is really into xcom and this went on sale so I picked it up. Wasn't able to play it until I also bought an SD card which was a shame. The scenarios are very challenging, haven't played a turn based strategy in quite some time - much less on a console - so there's definitely a learning curve. I think overall the game translates to a controller pretty well. The strange part of this game for me is everything outside of the scenarios. There's "research" type of tasks to do, you can hire soldiers, there's even a fallout shelter type of mechanic. All of these things take time and events/missions pass a certain amount of time. None of this is "bad" but sometimes I wish I could just do the scenarios and not have to deal with the management sim aspect of the game.

I also owned this on PS4 but being able to take this game mobile on switch, I had to buy it again. This is great on every system...yes, the graphics aren’t as good on the switch, but this game isn’t about the graphics...it’s about the gameplay and this one is amazing.

Strategy game that might be your cup of tea but this particular brand tries to make it fast paced as possible. Nice gameplay and storyline. Recommended if you want a game you can play while watching or doing something else at the same times

A few framerate hiccups but when the game gets going, there’s nothing like it. The Xcom games translate so well to being portable and that “one more mission” feel is very tense.

So much fun. Already given as a gift twice. There is so much going on that even when I think I’m done playing and just wrapping up, I’ll get lost in just giving everyone a last minute task or personalizing a character.

Xcom has always been a great franchise and now on the switch on the go it continues being just as great. This game has also received a patch that took care of a few minor frame rate and graphics issues it had at launch.

This is a fantastic continuation of the XCOM series with new content, new tactics, and amazing special effects. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the occasional game freezes and other software issues. There doesn't appear to be any software fixes for these issues but there are workarounds and be sure to save your game sessions often. This game can get highly addicting so be prepared to spend countless hours playing.

I give it 3 stars, because overall experience was impressive, which is great, but there are so many problems... FPS is so low, and it's a turn-based tactics! Loading times are infinite. I bet they did it on purpose, so you couldn't reload your move too often... And those hit percentages are just preposterous. You know that feeling, when you shoot 6 times in one alien, and miss 5 times, but when the enemy shoots from the same position, he does critical hit..

Solid port. Not as snazzy as other console versions but it works, especially to have it portable. I’ll take a lower frame rate and settings to have it on the go

Great strategy game, think of it as a harder mario + rabbits game, you will definitely enjoy. The beginning is a bit hard but, once you get past that is fun and rewarding.

Super challenging, and sometimes annoying, but incredibly fun regardless! An amazing tactical RPG, and BestBuy got it to me very quickly. No complaints!

Absolutely a mus-have for turn based strategy fans on Switch! The replay value is immense, and every playthough feels different.

Fun game. Definitely need to pick your move carefully to beat each level. Little slow on the load times on the switch. Worth a pickup for the travel convenience.

A well built sequel to the original game. Only complaint is when the enemy gets lucky and hits 3 times in a row with 10% odds

This game doesn’t run perfectly. Sometimes it loads for so long I think the game has crashed only for it to come back. I’ve only had the game shut down on me once though after a long uninterrupted session and the game is smart enough to save your last five turns assuming you aren’t playing an iron man run. I know the slowdowns and a crash might sound bad but I’m sure they’ll put in a patch later and even if they don’t, it’s the full game and it’s a great game. I still recommend any tactical rpg fan pick this up.
