great game, very addictive. turned based and strategical.

If you're a fan of strategy games, this is worth playing.

I am new the XCOM franchise, however found that XCOM-EU was easy to pick up and play. The first 2 missions walk through the basics of gameplay and leaves you on your own to save the world. Positives are numerous- deep strategy + turn based game, characters you can care about, surprisingly good AI ( which outflanks and works in teams), Negatives - include infrequent stuttering and screen tears -esp during the first scene of combat. However, these can be easily overlooked in view of the deep and mind-numbingly fun gameplay which is going to occupy a lot of your time ( i have sunk in 20+ hours and feel that I barely scratched the surface).

I played the original X-Com back in the mid 90's and fell in love with the game. When I heard they were coming out with this I was skeptical. I bought it and I am not disappointed.. The game is challenging at times. Just like the game almost 20 years ago, you will lose your men no matter how good they are. Expect your guys to die, and a lot. The story line gets kind of cheesy but it didn't bother me since I was playing for the gameplay. I love turn based games and this game is one I plan on keeping for a long while.

Awesome short beta played. This is as close to the original so many people have tried to get to. Loved the original as a teen and I have been waiting...... OMG how many years for this! You must get this one, and buy it new so they will continue the series, these great ones dont come along often.

The designs of the grey-type aliens is hilariously generic. But that's not a knock at all. Requiring much thought and endless battle possibilities, this ranks with Valkyria Chronicles as my favorite tactical rpg on the PS3.

One of the best RTS games in years. A must have for strategy game lovers.

I haven't even played this, but am reviewing it based on the value from my purchase. I got it on sale for a great price from Best Buy. Reviews for this game are excellent and I am excited to play.

Strategy game that all of your decisions matter. Taking a tried and proven formula and improving on it. Great replay value because you can try a different approach every time.
