The batteries last for me about 7 months. I like how the app notifies me when the batteries are low. The lock works great in the hot summer and cold winter. The only con I have is I wished I was able to open and close the lock remotely from a different location

Smart locks rock

Having a smart lock has lots of advantages- let people in without being there, keeping tracks who comes and goes, “take away” someone’s “key”, by simply turning off their code. I don’t know enough to say if this lock is better than any others- but having a smart lock rocks.

Poor design for our needs

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a pricey unit, so we expected it to be much better than the cheaper one we were replacing, but (1) it was hard to install and (2) it was much more cumbersome to enter our code because you actually have to be looking at the keypad. Our old one, you could just do it without looking because the number keys were raised up. We returned it and got another "cheap" one that works fine now. It might be a great choice for some folks, but not us.
