I am a "virgin" receiver owner, so this was a perfect purchase for me. Good price for great quality and easy to use.

This home theater had complete features on what I needed for my gaming setup, transfer 4 hdmi devices all into a single hdmi port on my tv, sound quality is amazing, also give me the ability to use my phone via aux, obly thibg that would make it better is if I can use aux and hdmi at the same time because sometimes I perfer to listen to music on my phone and play xbox one at the sams time

This receiver handles all my components (cable box / PS3 / Xbox 360 / PC) with 4 HDMI inputs. Movie watching is great with all the modern Dolby Digital and DTS sound fields available. Receiver provides more than enough power to drive the Yamaha 5.1 speaker setup I also purchased for my dedicated media room. At $250 this receiver is a great value with virtually all the bells and whistles you will need. Unless you have a large theater room you will not need to upgrade to a 7.1 receiver setup.

This unit is a bargain. 4 HDMI outputs, one of which is the 3D ARC. Plenty of component input/outputs for older items, I.e., turntable, CD burner. Sound output is great with use of the optional optimizer. The only negative was hooking up the speakers, kept missing the holes for the wires. But maybe that was just my big clumsy fingers. Great price too! 3D works great.

So I am new to the whole sound system thing... I did a little research and found this bad boy. It was easy to set up and it is easy to go between inputs. I went when it was on sale for 189... I found an open box and it was listed at 199... So I asked and they forgot to reprice it. The open box price was 139... I had a few best buy rewards and a 10% off coupon. I ended up spending $116 and change out the door! Great product for a great price

Bought this receiver on sale. Easy on-screen setup with many sound options. Using HDMI inputs and outputs, it delivers HDTV signals from cable box and DVD player to TV. Nothing bad to say! If you want more flexibility using apps, buy the RX-V477 and up models.

I purchased the Yamaha receiver to be the base for my Home Theater system to be installed in my basement rec room. The unit has sufficient HMID inputs and outputs to meet all of my needs for interconnecting auxiliary equipment, DVD, Wii, Flat Screen TV etc.. The unit also has suficient power to drive the set of Yamaha suround sound speakers that I have purchased for the room.

Purchased this receiver to get DTS surround for home theater. Hooked up blue ray and desktop computer to digital inputs. The room tuning feature (frequency sweep with included mic) was simple to use and took the guess work out of eq and channel balancing. Needed to study the (online) manual to get everything working right. Had to figure out why the subwoofer would drop out after room tuning process. Had fun resetting factory defaults and updating firmware. Finally got the subwoofer problem resolved by researching the manual. When all set up, I was really impressed by this product. Wow! Outstanding home theater receiver. Would have given five stars if the setup would have been more intuitive.

Sounds like it should cost a lot more!!! The speakers come alive with all the power. Clean crisp notes. This unit must be underrated as far as power concerns as I am driving 5 speakers and a sub woofer, and there is power to spare.

This was a gift for my husband to replace an old receiver. This has all the connections you would ever need to hook up your TV, speakers, blue ray, etc. We had help to set it up from our son who works with surround sound systems, so we didn't have any issues with set-up. Easy operation. The 4k is included on this model. Great price!

Easy set up/connection. Provides plenty of power to our Yamaha outdoor speakers....which we also purchased from Best Buy! My wife enjoys utilizing her samsung Note 3....we we purchased from you also......with the receiver to play music on our patio. I would recommend this product to anyone seeking a great, basic receiver.

Hooked it up to my new TV and my old Bose speakers. The sound is great. My only minor complaint is if I switch to FM radio to listen to the ballgame, I can't get the TV picture to watch at the same time. There may be a way to do it, but I can't figure it out. Other than that it was easy to set up and sounds great.

I have had the previous model for a couple years, and that has performed great. So it was a no-brainer to buy another Yamaha. I got it on sale, so that made it even better! Easy to use, easy to set up and it sounds great.

Once installed the system has great sound. I find the controls to easy to use and I feel of the product is rock solid. The USB on the unit is a nice source to charge the iPod too.

I was looking to replace my old Onkyo receiver and upgrade to a HD one. This Yamaha had everything I needed within my budget. The sound is very good once you play with the settings. It does not come with a manual and that is the only downside to this item. Otherwise it is great!!

This is my first yamaha home theater purchase. It has all the features needed for a great sounding system. It's simple to install and setup. It lacks the bells and whistles that come with the more expensive home theater systems but is definitely a good bang for your buck item.

I have been buying Yamaha receivers for many years and they are one of the best as for price, quality, sound, easy to setup and use. I have 4 different remotes and now only have to use 2. For 5 different devices.
