This unit has all the features I want and need at a price that was right. I especially like the auto set up feature to adjust the speaker array...very neat. Audio quality is top notch and adjustments are possible even after the auto setup. The menu is deep, but not confusing.

Was originally looking at a more expensive receiver but liked the features and price of this one. Set up was easy and sound is great. Not using it for home theatre just to fill the house with music for company.

I hooked this receiver to my TV and really enjoy the sound it puts out. The hook up.was easy and I am planning on adding more speakers for an even better sound experience. I wish there was an A - B switch so I could.hook up to outdoor speakers and play them separately.

Wow....for the money you cant beat the sound. Replaced an older high end Denon unit that didnt have HDMI connectivity. The sound was awesome but I got tired of all the remote control changes to go from one source to another, ie bluray to set top box to netflix etc. I wanted to run everything through one source and eliminate all the remotes changes. I still havent gotten there yet but I believe its me not knowing how to set it all up. Stll, the older Denon cost me over 3 times as much and sounded only slightly better than this unit.

I picked up this receiver and it worked awesome the new technology that is coming out Best Buy was able to describe and show how it worked flawlessly. I would recommend this receiver to anyone who is looking for good quality sound at a reasonable price . Gary

I have heard so much about Yamaha receivers and this is my first time. The sound quality works great, and the combination of HDMI with RCA ports work both my current and earlier equipment I own.

this receiver works great ,run an HDMI cable from your cable/dish , Blu-ray , Xbox, Roku etc. , into this receiver then one to the tv. great sound and picture , easy to switch between sources with remote. easy set up with on screen display.

Very easy to setup. I replaced a HTIB as I've had 2 of them that the integrated disc players decided to stop working after a year or two. Separating the components will give both better player features and cheaper replacement components if/when they fail or need to be upgraded. I also purchased a Dayton active subwoofer and wireless connector/adapter from Parts Express - best move I've made in a while. The HDMI integration with my TV is excellent too, controlling volume using the TV volume control. Other than setup or changing inputs, I only use the TV/Uverse remote rather than the receiver remove. Works perfectly for me...

I purchased this receiver as a replacement to an older Sony after upgrading to an Ultra 4k 3d tv that my old receiver would not support. The set up was very easy and even showed you if you had a speaker out of phase. It also offers several presets to choose from when watching movies. My only problem is that there is a compatibility problem when trying to use the ARC (Audio Return Channel) so I have to use an optical audio connection when watching things through the tv like netflix. Yamaha has confirmed it is an issue and that it might be fixed in a future firmware update. Other than that I have been very happy with it.

Tuner had all the features and hookups needed to complete the audio surround system we put together for our home. It has excellent sound quality and really woke up our movie listening experience. Setup was quick and easy.

I love that it will turn on and off together with the TV and you can use the TV remote to control the volume. and for example, you can use the receiver's remote unit to control player functions like skip and stop.

This is the second Yamaha receiver that I have owned. I love it! It's got a nice mix of features and is perfect for me. I'M running 5 channel surround for my living room. Sounds awesome and set up was easy.

I now own 5 of these receiver's and they do everything I need them to. Sound quality is great, easy to use interface, and will work in the demanding southern USA hot and humid weather!

This is my second Yamaha surround receiver, both solid, reliable, and quality values for the price. Sound quality produced is very good, easy to connect, and relatively easy to use.

I switched to this received from a Yamaha HTR-5860 because of the HDMI Pass-through. It is a fairly basic receiver with good sound/power and is easy to set up and use.

This was my first receiver purchased and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the set up was. The quality is great for this being one of the lower priced receivers.

I have a small room and Was looking at the Yamaha 7.1. I decided to go with the 5.1 and it is just right for this size room. Easy to setup, Great Deal for the money

It's a lot easier to operate than the previous brand we had. I have no negatives comments about this unit. And is lighter too. It does provide good sound.

I checked the reviews for several A/V home systems on several sites and liked the Yamaha receiver the best. Sounds great and easy to set up!!
