I actually went to BB for the model prior to this model and it was out of stock. I was dissatisfied when the sales person told me this model was no longer going to be sold, but failed to mention a newer model was replacing it. I had just purchased a new set of speakers and based on reviews decided to go with the Yamaha receiver. A day after I called another BB and the sales person told me they just got in the newer model. I have to say after the initial disappointment, I am happy I ended up with this model. All of the audio options and set up is excellent. The unit has more than enough HDMI connections for all my audio equipment. The sound is great, so grateful for all the reviews. While the set up is easy, I did not care for the electronic user manual although I have a green thumb and can appreciate it.

I like the sound quality and easy setup. But there are too many buttons I don't use and know I can make more used of this receiver.

needed an cheep and inexpensive unit to replace my older home theater stereo . this unit fit the bill it also has greet sound.

Set-up for my DVR, BD player and TV was super easy with three HDMI cables, allowing one button audio/video switching between inputs. Good amount of features for such a low price point, easy to use and plenty of surround sound options and power for my 5.1 system.

The Yahama receiver sounds terrific and was incredibly easy to set up with my home theater system. Highly recommended.

Everything about our new 5 disc CD player is perfect. The sound is outstanding. Easy to install and operate.

First receiver purchased in a long time. Needed to use it for TV, DVD, VCR and tape deck, with older hook up jacks. Went back to the store for help with hook up. Very friendly and helpful, but it didn't work all the way. Eventually had to go to the manual to really get it right. Manual is electronic PDF file. That is a real bummer as I had to use my computer anytime I wanted to look up one little thing and I had to constantly scroll back and forth through the pages and it is hard as heck to browse in an electronic manual. So sorry that Samsung could not have spent the couple of bucks to print the manual and include it. Unfortunately, Samsung is not alone. Receiver, however, is working fine. It is just what I needed and it sounds very good. Now if Samsung could just get that manual thing correct, instead of being so lazy and cheap about printing a copy. I shouldn't have to print my own copy. No complaints with the receiver, it is fine. Headphone jack was loose in first set and Best Buy replaced receiver without hesitation. Thanks to Best Buy.

Great receiver for the money. I got it on sale so it was even better. Set up is rather straight forward.

great 5.1 surround with a variety of sound choices and front usb port is a plus. Can't beat the price.

I have this and 2 other Yamaha systems. Very happy with the quality and functions of the surround. However, the USB doesn't support NTFS drives or FAT32 drives for AVI, MPEG-4, MP4, WMV, etc files. Unlike my oldest system close to 12 years old. Just reads picture. Weak!

This Yamaha receiver is powering my entire home zoned music system (3 rooms with two speakers in each room) this unit has more then enough power for the speakers I have installed in the ceiling and my family and I are loving the home audio for party's and this past holiday season. This av receiver never gets hot and never distorts the audio even at high volumes. We love it and would recommend it to anyone.

Easy to use, music, movies & gaming sound great. I would recommend this item...

So far so good. Runs speakers and my powered subwoofer as loud as I want to and then some. Inputs galore. Have on surge protector that cuts off the power totally when the TV turns off and all the settings and input names stay the same. Radio tuner gets good reception after you get the antenna set at just the right spot. Heat is remarkably less than a given Harmon kardon receiver I had. Virtually no heat actually. I set squares of wood on the pads and have the unit about half a foot off the cabinet so air can get underneath and convect the heat away since I did not see a fan at first glance. Poly loomed the wiring going from the back to the speakers for a very sleek, professional look.

This was very easy to set up and works great with our TV and bose speakers.
