Totally satisfied with this AV receiver. Owned Yamaha receivers for over 30 years and they never dissatisfied me. For the price it has all the bells and whistles you need for excellent sound reproductions. Have them set up with Klipsch towers snd surround system. For the price point an excellent value.

Yamaha has done it again with this top of the line receiver. It meets all of my high demand needs for my home audio. Great WIFI option and ability to stream music in your entire home.

Nothing but good things from this receiver. Honestly, it's probably more than what I need but I'd rather have room to grow later. Powers all of my speakers great, easy to use.

Pleased with sound and ease of use. geek squad recommended.

So far we are really enjoying this system. The blue tooth connectivity is also a plus that I really didn't see a need for, until we had it. No issues as of yet.

Receiver is great. I am a long term Yamaha receiver user. I am very satisfied but feel that the zone 2 option which added to the cost is not that flexible and you may be better off buying the cheaper receiver and adding the wireless speakers in your second room.

I have a complete klipsch home theater speaker set up (7.2), I upgraded to this receiver from my previous the denon receiver, very happy with the upgrade.

I had an 7-8 years old Sony receiver that sounded great for music but for dialogues, it was very poor. After seeing a friend replace his receiver and keeping the same speakers to improve movie dialogues, I decided to take the plunge. It was the best decision. The dialogues are now crystal clear and music sounds great.

I have a computer driving this and also a spidf (optical connection) from a music server. Sometimes I want to listen to music or radio while the hdmi1 from the computer displays on the screen. It took a lot of fooling around to get it working the way I wanted - but it can be done. The Scene buttons are your friend!

I am an audiophile on a budget now. I've had multi thousand dollar amps, speakers, subwoofers and before a home disaster my last system was over 15k. That being said I have to try every option before I settle. This is the best a/v receiver under 1200 bucks. I bought a Marantz sr 6012 a denon x3400x and 2 onkyo. This Yamaha a770 is the best sounding and best performing rig of the bunch for audio use in 2 channel. The Marantz and denon might have a slight advantage for movies due to audyssey but I don't really care for how bloated the audyssey makes movies sound. If you like crazy bloated rear sound then you will like audyssey but the yapo from Yamaha is so much more natural and does wonders. Again I can't stress enough how good the audio is for music. The audyssey system sucks for music play back. The Yamaha has sweet controlled highs at low or extreme volume and the mids are full and the bass is very strong but accurate. The bass on the others is louder from the sub but very inaccurate and fake. I'm running a svs ultra 16pb (3k sub) so bass is not an issue but in 2.0 stereo w/o a sub the Yamaha actually has the better bass response. Buy this receiver now before they stop carrying them. I've been told that they will stop carrying the Yamaha brand, not sure if that's true or not. Marantz/denon...same company have the lion share of the market along with onkyo. Those are your main 3. Sony and pioneer are in there as well but not as popular and rightly so, they don't sound as good or have the quality as the main 3 but Yamaha has been around as long as Marantz and has the same fanfare but in today's world not as popular as they once were. The menus are lighting fast, much faster than any other brand I've used. Their phone app is much better than any other brand and this unit is much better priced than the others for more performance. To sum this thing up. 2 channel audio this is the best, for user interface this one is the best. For movies I will call it a draw between the main 3 although I prefer the Yamaha. Network stability this one is best. The only issue with the Yamaha is its ugly the Marantz is much better looking.

I bought this receiver, because my Denon was WAY under powered for the amount of speakers that I have. I have all large klipsch speakers.

I bought this for the "Bluetooth" connectivity and it works great. I also like the improved "Option" menu which now includes Sub Woofer settings which saves a lot of time.

This is a great tuner for the money. Looked at several but this is the newest release. Very happy with all the options.

We had recently moved into a home with a theater room. After much review we decided to purchase this. One Word: AMAZING!

Great for watching football games and the sound is very good for movies. Can understand every word, Only drawback is the number of remotes I have to use for the system and to get a universal that will work through cabinet doors costs a much as a small car(almost).

so far so good. Lack of "How To" from the geek installers did not help for a smooth transition

This receiver is amazing. It has a great THD rate and amazing ohm's. Best bang for buck in terms of receivers. I had an lg 700watt and it doesn't even compare to what this thing can do in terms of sound quality. It's like night and day.

Great receiver with out spending a fortune love it with the Klipsch that I gonna black Friday
