Great amplifier, great sound, great features and price.

This multifunctional amp keeps the sound consistent at high dbs. It is bluetooth and operates with many content providers. Provides easy adjustment to you sound needs and again has a lot of power.

Good surround sound on all types of movies, base on speakers brand that are being use and Bluetooth is working good with my Samsung phones.

I purchased this receiver as an open box item in excellent condition. When I received it there wasn't even a fingerprint on the display. It was very clean. I did a quick speaker test and all of the channels worked. The only downside was that the remote was missing. I went to a Best Buy store and they offered me an additional discount. I ended up with a decent overall discount. I also have a programmable remote that already had a preset for this model. I have yet to install the receiver as I am still finishing the basement/theater where it will be. I have used Yamaha receivers for many years and am sure I will not be disappointed with this one.

I purchased this receiver as a replacement for an Onkyo TXNR709 that had a twice replaced HDMI board. The Onkyo quality went in the toilet just before they purchased the Pioneer brand. The Yamaha build quality seems solid so far. I love the mix of technology in this Yamaha. The only issue I have so far is the lack of instruction on the Bluetooth connectivity to to Bluetooth headphones / external Bluetooth speakers. Some of my music collection is analog and some is digital AAC format on a NAS. The quality of the audio is great. The IOS app is complete and works well. Over all I’m pleased with my purchase

This AVR is perfect for the price. Has all the bells and whistles of units much more expensive. Zone 2 allows different audio/ideo in a second room. Sound is beautiful.

I bought this to replace an older Yamaha receiver that would not pass HDCP 2.2 content. Thus, I could not get full 4K content passed from my connected STB and Roku devices. What I had not expected was the overall improvement in the quality of the audio being passed through the new Yamaha. Really impressive. I had not realized how much technology has improved over the years. These things last for so many years that you don't realize that the signals being passed are so improved and you are missing that if you don't keep up.

A lot has changed since I bought my last receiver. This unit has the solid build and outstanding audio performance I have come to expect from Yamaha. But the additional capabilities of streaming audio, MusicCast, multi zone capabilities, YPAO, numerous HDMI connectivity/functionality and smart phone apps bring the system to a new level. My home audio and surround sound setup has been simplified, decluttered and better controlled so that it works the way it should of originally with my last system over a decade ago.

High quality with 4k! I love this receiver. I compared to others and this is the best for me. The audio quality is perfect and easy to understand.

I love the performance of this receiver. It has the power to bring the room to life. The Zone 2 has impressive power as well, all around the function and performance are what you expect from Yamaha and MORE. THIS is why I have owned Yamaha products since 1980!

Has a lot of features, and good power. Compared to the other manufacturers, pioneer, Sony, Onkyo, denon. Would recommend Yamaha well they been around for a long time.

I have always purchased Marantz preamps and receivers but didn’t want to go over a budget for a TV set used in the family room. I used points and some other rewards I had on my card and got a very good deal on this receiver. The sound is phenomenal and the Martin Logan’s i have hooked up on to this unit really came to life. These speakers are about 15 years old but I’m enjoying them all over. The setup could be a little easier but not to difficult to figure out. The app is decent but use a little work to a little more intuitive.

I have owned Yamaha audio video receivers since 1980. This is the 3rd receiver I have purchased durning this time frame. The Yamaha receiver I owned prior to this purchase was still operational and had no problems. However it was about 12 years old and did not have HDMI inputs and HDMI outputs that would support 4K, so this receiver was an upgrade to support the higher resolution that 4K provides. Given my outstanding track record with Yamaha receivers, I look forward to many years of enhanced audio and home theater sound with this new receiver.

This receiver gives amazing sound and plays my klipsch speakers like an instrument

I have moderate service related hearing loss. I've been using a sound bar for my TV for a few years and still either can't hear or have to turn it up so loud its obnoxious to others. I used this as the basis for my sound system upgrade. This receiver coupled with Definitive Technology speakers are a great combo and I wish I hadn't waited so long to do it!

I was very happy with this purchase. Upgraded from a 4 yr old yamaha. This receiver has many nice features and plenty of power.

very capable, clean and powerful receiver. My main gripe is that it did not turn on/off automatically even though I was using eARC with my LG GX OLED TV.

I purchased this to replace an aging Onkyo receiver. Connection and setup were fairly simple for me, I have moderate experience with these types of installs. I feel like the sound quality is excellent, it really does a nice job of bringing all of the details out. My only complaint is I feel it lacks overall power. My older less expensive receiver pushed the same speakers at a much louder level.
