These speakers sounds and look great! Very easy to install with the included template. And I color matched them to my painted wall and was delighted they included a mask to protect the speaker while painting the grills and speaker surround/bracket.

I bought this speakers to replace my surround bookshelf type speakers. They sound great and look amazing. The only bad thing was that it's not easy to install if u don't have experience with inwall speakers. I ended up running my cables through the bottom of the wall because there where too many studs in my walls to run the cables through the ceiling like they should be. None the less they look great.

I scooped these up in store for $150 for the pair. These Yamaha's are the left front, right front, surround right, and surround left in my 5.1.4 setup. I was looking at pricier sonance's, but ultimately went with these as the reviews on best buy were exemplary. And holy heck do these sound spectacular! The sound they put out at their price is very surprising. I painted them almost the same brown as my wall and they look wonderful. I highly recommend these if you want great sound at a great price.

I ended up buying a second pair because the 1st pair was so good. I connected of these ceiling speakers to a ceiling mounted projector and two mini orb audio amps. Everything is hidden in the ceiling with volume controls on the wall. I also have a wireless mic hooked up. This is for a conference room. These speakers are great for the money. I wouldn't buy more expensive ones unless you are setting up a high end movie room.

My ears are not sensitive enough to know the difference between a $200 pair of speakers and a $500 pair. However, this set works well for my home theater set up. I like that you are able to adjust the high and midrange but I took one star off cuz the grille is very difficult to put on and off. I wish it was a simply magnetic so if I want to adjust at will I could take it off easily. Overall definitely well worth the price!!!

Best In-Wall speaker for the price!!

bought these on sale for $125 and I am very surprised by the sound and quality..These are very nicely built and offer a 3 way set up, instead of just 2 way...The midrange and tweeter are both pivoting, so you can point the sound right where you want it..Another great feature is they also have knob right on the front panel for adjusting the frequency to your liking!!..Installation was a breeze, with the included cardboard template...The midrange and tweeter sound fantastic with accurate mids and highs...The woofer also does its job and gives a full rounded out sound..Do yourself a favor and keep/put insulation around the entire speaker in the wall, it gives it a much fuller, richer sound...Overall, I'm very impressed with these speakers, at any price range and I highly recommend them!!

Exactly what I needed for surround speakers

These speakers sound great for the money and were very easy to install. The provided template makes it almost foolproof. When painting the frame and grill, don't be afraid to use ordinary wall paint for this. Just use a small trim roller. keep the roller only a little damp with paint for the grill to make it easier to clear out the tiny holes. Canned air (like what you would use to clean a computer keyboard) works great for this and takes only a few seconds. I painted all 4 of mine in about 30 minutes and they look like they came out of the box the right color.

Great in-wall speakers for the price

After extensive research in an attempt to replace speakers my wife wanted removed from my family room (she wanted no speakers out - anywhere), I turned my attention to in-wall speakers and began wondering what type of price I would have to pay, or better yet, what compromise would I have to make by making a concession on the price. I chose these speakers after listening to them in another store. First, the installation was a breeze. Yamaha provides a template for sheetrock cutout - actually providing 2, one for each speaker. The speakers easily clamp to the sheetrock, giving a firm, tight feel. I recommend stuffing the hole with some fiberglass in order to ensure you don't lose much sound in the walls. I wanted my speakers the same color as the walls, so I had to paint them. If you want to paint these, don't forget to sand them. They stipulate the speakers are paintable, but they don't really paint well, even with decent buffing. As for the sound, for the price, these are very good. They provide a midrange/bass crossover on each speaker. I have them mixed with a Yamaha center channel, and 2 different variations of Polk Audio in-wall speakers. The provide a very crisp sound, but not quite as detailed as the Polk Audio speakers. Some of this could be due to the need to further tweak things, but I believe this is just a slight difference in quality. Pretty good speaker for most audio needs.

These speakers are unobtrusive if you're looking for something that will blend into your walls. The sound is great, clear, rich and gave us wonderful surround sound for our living room. They were easy to install, there is a template provided to make wall-cutting easy. We are really enjoying our home theater!

We put these speakers in our ceiling to add to the surround sound and they sound great. They were easy to install, just cut a hole and pop them in; no brackets required! The face cover can be painted so it blends in and you never know they are right over your head.

We bought these as Left and right rear surround speakers. Installation is as easy as cutting a hole in the drywall connecting the wires and tightening the simple and effective clamps. The frame and grill can be painted to match the wall, contributing to virtual camouflage. Sound quality is typical Yamaha excellence.

These install flush with the wall but are kind of a large rectangle form factor. If you go into the BB store and see them in person and don't think their size will be an issue for you, by all means pick them up. They're great rear speakers and the price is really good for the pair.
