I would say this is a good game if you're around the age of 5-10? Eh...maybe 10 is a little generous. Eh...maybe 5 is a little generous.

Best Yoshi Game Since the SNES

This is easily the best Yoshi game to come out since Yoshi's Island on the Super Nintendo, and I would even go as far as to say that this game surpasses it. The gameplay is flawless, level design is great, graphics are beautiful, and the soundtrack is quite good as well. The only drawbacks to the game are lacking amiibo functionality (for the yarn yoshi amiibo specifically), recycled music in multiple stages, and recycled boss fights (these were cool the first time, and slightly disappointing the second). Other than that, Wooly World is an amazing game, and I'd say a must buy for any Wii U owners that enjoy platformers.

    Surprising Masterpiece

I expected a cute game with decent game play but boy was I shocked. This side scroll is not only cute, the game play is outstanding. Every level delivers a new unique setting along with new foes alike. The co-op play is perfectly fluent with the actual game unlike so many co-op based titles. With unlockable Yoshi's at every turn and new worlds to explore from start to finish, this game supplies an almost infinite amount of game play value along side replay value. In short at a $50 starting price this title is an absolute steal of a deal and a must have for any Nintendo fan.

I'll admit, I'm one of those people that will buy a Yoshi game just because it's Yoshi. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this one, the few screenshots I saw didn't have me too pumped. But I put the game in and started playing. First off, the graphics are beautiful. Absolutely amazing. The game play is more unique in that Yoshi is made of yarn and instead of the typical eggs, he throws balls of yarn. There are secrets to be found everywhere and collecting the spools of yarn is difficult, but not too difficult for me to want to give up. In the Mario games, sometimes I get bored trying to collect all the coins... the opposite is true here. I've only just begun to play, on world two now, but it is worth every penny. Also includes 'mellow mode' for more inexperienced players.

My wife and I are having a blast with this game. It's accessible to people of lower skill levels and includes a "mellow mode" that allows players to hover their characters indefinitely. There's also enough challenge in later levels, but the balance between "hard" and "fun" is perfect. The game creates a lot of laughs with two players who sometime jump into one another or hit each other with yarn, sometimes accidentally, sometimes on purpose! Graphics are great, music is enjoyable, and sound effects are charming. One disappointment is that Amiibo support is only available in single player mode. Otherwise, this is one of our favorite Wii U games!

Much like most of their games they make now this is just for casuals or kids. No real challenge, no inspiration, nothing unique or new, just yet another nintendo game that while is solid, its just made to sell based on the brand more than anything.

This game has the high-quality Nintendo flair that makes owning a Wii U worthwhile. Amazing graphics, catchy music and clever level-design really shine in this title. There's plenty to collect and unlock if you're shooting for 100% completion. Don't pass this game up... it's one of the top platforming experiences on this system!

Bought this game to play by myself but ended up playing together with a friend of mine. It was great getting to play like the old days together with a buddy on the couch at the same time. Fairly easy to play on normal difficulty and it even has an even easier mode for those that are just starting to play games.

I was really looking forward to this game. For one, I love Yoshi games. And for 2, the yarn theme looked really awesomely artistic. Let me tell you I love playing WiiU games ONLY on the game pad. In other words I don't even use the TV. I think the games look really great on that small tablet screen. And this game does not disappoint. Not only are the graphics beautiful and art style cute. But the game play is pure Yoshi fun. The fact that it looks like you are walking around on actual yarn, with little yarn balls besides you instead of eggs. Is just really enthralling. I love this whole "themed" games Nintendo has been doing lately and I think you'll love this game. The game is easy, but actually taking time to explore and find all of the fun hidden extras as where the real time can be spent. And the world happens to be beautiful so why wouldn't you want to explore every last corner.

Graphics are amazing! Game play is amazing! It reminds me of my nintendo days and having to actually think about what you are doing. It is challenging to find all of the little bonus things that is needed but not necessary to win. Even my child's picky father likes the game and he dislikes newer games. Especially geared towards kids. Great game! Worth the price! Great game for families, children, and adults.

I was worried after playing the Yarn Kirby game that this would be another lame endeavor. However, the game play and attention to detail are amazing. For the casual game it is a beautiful game with really fun graphics and creative use of yarn. There are also a litany of collectibles for the more seasoned/neurotic gamer that give this game some great replayability. Definitely a great game for all ages.

    Awesome Expansion on Yoshi's Island!

I really enjoy this game because I always liked playing Yoshi's Island and this game gives it a new take with yarn! You can use the yarn balls (previously eggs in other games) to create platforms, pipes, and such that have not been created yet, as well as tangle up enemies! I'd say this might even be better than Yoshi's Island and I would definitely recommend it.

    A Calm and Fun Platformer

I bought the version with the Yarn Yoshi included, but for those people who do not need that, this is a fun platformer. It isn't the most difficult game if you are just trying to play straight through the game, but it does have a nice visual style and co-op play. I recommend this game for anyone who wants to play a fun platformer.

Nintendo always makes the best platformers, and this is no exception. This game is addicting, and an absolute joy to play. Yoshi has always been about exploration, and the collectibles are fun to find, and around every corner. They add new interesting ideas to each level. Also great Co-op game, family friendly game. Grab it now!
