After my husband scratched his iphone 5 after a week of use, I went out and bought him this screen protector. I have always hated screen protectors, and have resisted having one for a long time. My iPhone 3GS went screen protector-less for three years. I have been using my husband's phone for a couple days now and I love this screen protector so much that I have bought one for myself also. The clarity is great, and it is not sticky to the touch like many screen protectors. Honestly, I barely even notice that it's there. Let me address the reviews saying that this was cut crooked. My husband has a black phone and I have the white. With both phones side by side it's obvious why many people think the top cut out is off center. There is a second sensor to the left of the ear piece, which is why there is a gap next to it. With the white phone this black dot is visible, not so much with the black phone. So, to everyone marking it down for this so called defect - ITS NOT CROOKED. Go online and look at a picture of a white iPhone 5 and you'll understand. If you have the black phone, just line it up with the home button and the sides of the phone and you'll be fine. The only bad thing I can say is that I have a very minimal case, so even with the case on, there is still a gap. I love it anyway! Anyway, great cover - can't recommend it highly enough!

After owning several different variations of the ZAGG shields over the years . . . this is by far the best one I have come across. This is a great protector that keeps the retina display looking sharp. I see people commenting on the 'lack of quality', referencing the uneven cutout at the top by the earpiece . . . but in actuality, this is not a design flaw, and is to account for the sensor located to the left of the earpiece. You cannot see the sensor on the black model. But if you look at the white, you can see it plain as day. So ZAGG did not 'rush this to retail', they simply did not want to disrupt the functionality of the iPhone. Great product . . . highly recommend. I actually ripped off my old ZAGG protector for my iPad and purchased the HD version because I like it on the iPhone so much.

So I have always used Zagg screen protectors on my previous iterations of the iphone, from 4 to 4s to now the 5. Never had any issues with it, and the convenience of going to mall and getting the screen replaced for $5 when it's all dogged out is great. So when I got my 5 on Friday, I went over to Best Buy to pick up a Zagg protector. Picked up the HD as it was only $5 more. The difference in look is very noticeable from the standard model. Looks like it's barely there, while still giving you that warm protective feeling that only Zagg can provide. However, the screen does not fit. In order to cover all of one side, the other side falls short. Plus the area around the camera is really open. I know you obviously can't cover the camera lens, but I would have thought they would have done a better job of covering the area surrounding it. All in all, a good product, but with its deficiencies.

Application was easy and did not take long. I followed the instructions, and there are no air bubbles or imperfections. I was able to use my phone almost right away after applying it. It's very clear (as opposed to cloudy), and it has done a great job keeping my screen scratch-free.

After having to get a new iPhone 5 (my old one broke), I immediately bought a new one of these. My last iPhone had it, and I couldn't live without. The screen feels like it is actually being PROTECTED, unlike almost every other flimsy cover out there. For 20 or so dollars, you get a lot of stuff: You get a huge (bigger than the actual phone) microfiber cloth, a GOOD mini squeegee for air bubbles (very high quality plastic/rubber with angles to work with), adhesive spray that they call "application solution", and of course the screen. Now, when I say that the screen feels like it is being protected, it is somewhat thick (for a screen protector) and has a odd sticky texture to it. However, it retains the click of your fingernail on the screen which I love. The last part is that, being from Houston Texas, it gets very hot and hurts our phones just as much. However, I have not had any problem with the heat on my screen. Final verdict would be 10/10, if it went that high.

Had the glass screen protector before this and definitely saw a world of difference. This screen protector really does only the bare minimum as far as things go. Sure, it protects from scratches and minor scuffs but it won't help prevent screen cracking like the glass one does. The application process is also really difficult and you can spend a bunch of time using the "installation squeegie" and get it to the point where there are no visible bubbles but have loads of bubbles when you peel away the last plastic layer. Overall, for the price it works a decent amount if you can get a smooth application, however, I would rather splurge on the pricey glass one instead of buying this one again.

Installation requires a lot of patience. Watch the informative video on the Zagg website and be prepared to spend some time on your installation. Although I was very precise in my preparations, I still got a few bubbles and very tiny particles under the protector. Here's the thing: Use plenty of the included positioning spray and squeegee most of the bubbles to the edge of the protector. Don't expect perfection. After an hour or so, if you still see bubbles carefully work them to the edge. Likewise, if you see small particles, work them to edge as well; they'll "float" in the small amount of the positioning liquid. With care, you can achieve a perfect installation. Zagg recommends letting your phone sit for 24 hours before handling or using it to allow the adhesive to bond. My protector is virtually invisible and since the material seems thicker than the cheap "good for now" protector I put on when my phone was new (which lasted fairly well for a year but started to peel around the edges) I'm looking forward to good life from my new Zagg. Incidentally, my Zagg was listed at $10.99 online but $20.99 in the store. Best Buy matched the online price at checkout. Thanks, Best Buy!

If you follow the directions carefully and don't rush this shield goes on effortlessly and secures itself very well in place. squeezing out the excess liquid spray was easy and I was done in no time. Just make sure to position it as close as possible to its final location before using the squeegee.

Provides great protection for my phone screen. I'm always using my phone and these screen protectors last through heavy phone usage. I can put my phone in my pocket or purse without worrying that the screen protector will peel off or get damaged. Another great feature is the fact that it has a lifetime replacement and I just went to my local mall, Zagg kiosk and showed them my phone and they gave me a replacement. I feel that this HD version provides a crisp and much clearer view of my phone screen also. I will always protect my electronics with their products from now on!

Zagg covers do everything they advertise. I have them on every product I own. Zagg honors their warranty without question. Easy to install and very forgiving. Trust that the air bubbles will work their-selves out and don't over work the product during the install.

I love the Zagg invisible shield for my iPhone5. I was a fan of Zagg products when they were mostly just available via mail order. They are soooo hard to put on your devices, I have done it but I always got a little air bubble in there. This time the Best Buy employee did it for me and I could not be happier. It's perfect and it has not budged. I know I can throw my phone into my bag and my keys won't scratch it, I slide it in my pocket and the edges don't come up. It's worth every penny. I think it will outlast the phone. BUY THIS!!!

Once you use a ZAGG screen protector, you'll never use a cheaper product. Excellent quality and protection - worth the extra cost!

When I purchased my iPhone 5, I got this screen protector and a case as part of an accessories package, and Best Buy installed the screen protector for me before I left the store. -This screen protector does not take away from the beautiful iPhone 5 screen - it's almost invisible. -Lifetime warranty if it fails (Hopefully I never have to use that...but see below...) -Does not go completely to the edge of the screen, so there's a small band running around the entire perimeter of the display where dust and debris can get caught - not a big problem but worth mentioning. -Also worth mentioning - this screen protector has a sticky texture to it, so your finger won't "slide" as easily as it would on the bare screen. (I don't mind this, but my fiance does and she chose another kind of screen protector.) Overall, it does the job - longevity is questionable.

This screen protector gives great protection. It doesn't come off easy and that is the purpose and a great feature to have in a phone screen protector.

ididn't read the other reviews i know this product b/c i used to install it. perfect every time. if you're not satisfied YOU did something WRONG. i don't use anything on my phone, but put them on all the phones in my family, it's really kept them protected. i noticed that zagg has better cutouts now as well, now a good case won't fray up the edges. nice product, pricey, but worth it if you need it.

First, the product works as advertised. The screen is very well protected from scratches and dings. However, getting the thing on the phone without the dreaded air bubbles is pretty challenging. Best Buy offered to put in on for me, but for an additional 8 dollars (that's 1/3 of the cost of the screen protector itself. ) Maybe I should have taken them up on the offer, but I'm stubborn and thought I could do it myself. Well I failed, and now there are tiny air bubbles that I just could not get right. Oh well, at least the screen is still protected.

This is a very nice screen protector. It was easy to put on and is very clear. If you are careful to follow the instructions and clean everything before installing the screen then you will have no bubbles. This screen protector is made to be "cover friendly" but looks a little small on the screen if you have a slim style cover. That really is not a big issue.

Good quality. Tough and not too difficult to apply.
