Really well done and fantastic movie. Slow burn, but I enjoy these type of movies. Looks great on Blu-ray also.

ACTION PACK MOVIE...BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!! GO NAVY!!!

I found this movie in the 'cheap' box. It was sitting right on top and it caught my attention - because of the name. Don't we all talk about getting up (or leaving) at "Oh Dark Thirty" sometimes? It's the story about how we (as in the U.S.) tracked down and killed Osama bin Laden. It's a truly fascinating story about how the CIA was relentless (or at least the lead character, Maya was) in the quest to find and eliminate the mastermind behind the 911 attack on the Twin Towers. No side love affairs or anything else to mar the magnificent story of the talent that it took to nail down where bin Laden was hiding. The actual attack with two helicopters is filled with suspense as the Seals land at the compound where bin Laden is holed up (losing one helicopter right as they're landing). It's a tribute to the training of these Seal warriors that no one was hurt in the attack, even though one helo lost power and crashed at the attack site. If you're a military buff like I am, or just love a suspenseful movie, Zero Dark Thirty is for you. There's even a 2nd disk chock full of info on how they made the movie.

I enjoyed the movie. The hunt for Bin Laden is well told and suspenseful, but I couldn't help but come away feeling that something was missing. It's the greatest manhunt in history and it calls for something more than straight-ahead storytelling, which is what this movie provides in almost workmanlike fashion. However, that said, I appreciate this movie for its ability to appropriately examine the "grey areas" of warfare, notably the use of torture. The CIA's mission to track down Bin Laden is portrayed with all the appropriate ambiguities, setbacks, and bureaucratic red tape that were actually involved with that mission. More than an action movie, this film captures the excitement and intrigue of tracking down Osama Bin Laden while presenting it with documentary-like realism, cutting out the cliches and cheesiness that many war movies embrace.

Jessica Chastain brought me here, and the story kept me here. While the story was widely known, it was very engaging in the way it was presented and it kept me on the edge of my seat. JC is a great actress, and I have enjoyed her films. She usually is the actor that MAKES the movie she is in, but she takes a backseat to the story in this view on what has become US history. The highlights of course, are the seige, and the 4kHDR treatment is head and shoulders better than seeing it on a streaming format, or on-demand. I love the 4kHDR era we are currently participating in and this movie is a great addition to my collection.

I recently purchased Zero Dark Thirty because of the price. I just couldn't pass up on. This movie is a long and somewhat slow movie, but it presents a small glimpse at what our men and women in the government and the military, did to get Osama Bin Laden. A lot of luck and perseverance. This has some action, but it was not made to be a military action flick. This is based on true events and I don't really know how much is actual truth in it but it is just fascinating the process and resources used to catch a terrorist, it was just one guy the U.S. Government was trying to get. This is a part of our history in a movie format.

Zero dark thirty (12:30 am) gives a glimpse of the search of Bin Laden over a 10 year period after the 911 attack. A new CIA agent to a detainee camp gradually becomes the driving force to follow every lead, no matter how small and push her superiors into action. The movie is shot in an editorial manner and focuses on the reality of the situation. The dedicated CIA agent determination builds tension in the movie leading up to the SEAL action in Pakistan and Bin Ladens death.

I couldn't find this DVD on the shelf. A young man from the 'Appliance Dept' was walking by & I asked for help. He did a computer check twice ... we finally found it ... just not where it should have been. He went above & beyond his job title which I REALLY appreciated!! Our son was delighted with his DVD.

This movie is a great story about the time and patience that the US intelligence services took to find and bring to justice Osama bin Laden. Even though you know it’s gonna happen the movie is very suspenseful and highly entertaining with great acting from all those involved.

Another top high rating military movie, slow at certain moments but it’s great build up for when the action kicks off. Very accurate demonstration of how war, military, and politics, operate.

Nice improvement of 4K over regular Blu-ray. Dark scenes look amazing

There is not a lot of historical information out there about the killing of Bin Laden. This movie does at least a half decent job displaying it. I just wish I could watch the real Bin Laden get shot in the face. This will do, though.

Excellent movie, gives insight into what it took to kill Osama Bin Laden. Gives a great look into the wonderful world of black ops and the necessity of clandestine services.

Awesome thriller with action and drama if you love army type movies, then this is for you.
