I only just got this but upon initial playing with it, it will work for my purposes. I'm a TV reporter and this will work fine for shooting b-roll, plus the extension will help me do stand ups when I don't have a coworker with me. I bought this after my DJI Mobile 2 kicked the bucket. This is comparable. I don't think I'll miss the 3rd axis for my puposes tbh. You can turn it up or down using the selfie stick part and your in app camera will smooth the footage down enough that it won't matter. You can use this without the app once it's registered. I haven't tried using it without registration. You have to flip the phone part on the side in order to get it to work. I was confused by that and I can see someone getting frustrated and thinking it was bricked because of that. I mean, yeah there are misspellings in the app and the directions but this is a Chinese product made in Hong Kong so I'm OK with it. I've been to Hong Kong and I've seen worse misspellings on credible products XD The company seems nice enough too with all the notices for customer support they put in the packaging. DJI on the other hand has crap customer service and won't help you fix anything. Can you tell I'm jaded? Lol The app is nice. I could see it being great for making short snackable videos for the web too though I haven't tried it for that purpose yet. In comparison to DJI, this app is way less bulky as DJI'S includes data for their drones for some crappy reason and that takes a lot of space and ram. Only difference I can tell on first glance is you can't go Facebook Live on this app, like you can with DJI but even when I used my stabilizer for fb live in the past i haven't used DJI'S app because the lag and battery usage was unbearable if I tried to do that. So yeah, I'm happy with it overall for now. If things change I will update this review.

Not the easiest to figure out and struggles with large phones. Does stabilize well though.

I bought this as our first gimbal to utilize for vlogging on the go. It's compact size is great & is an exceptional value for the sale price they are running. It is only a 2 Axis, but that works great paired qith EIS on our phones. The only downside for me is I have to remove my Note 20 Ultra from its case to use it, however I expected that to be the case as it also won't fit in my drone controller without removing the case as well. You also MUST register an account or it will not work at all. Still a great price on a good product & helps immensely with stabilization in a compact size thats easy to carry around when space in a pack is a premium.

Good buy. Palm size,less expensive with the same features as the expensive ones. The extendable selfie stick is handy. Best part is you can carry it in your pocket and no complex setup.

While compact and portable this gimbal has a few points it can be improved on, and is in the higher tier models. This gimbal only works on a 2 axis system, therefore not helping with stability of motion but working well for turning and panning shots. Much of the functionality is also dependent on the companies software, and while it isn't as broken as some say, the app lacks stability and has some pretty bad latency. Overall I would say unless you're getting this for a really good deal spring for higher tier model as this one falls somewhat short.

Very good product at an excellent price. 5/5 for Best buy customer service for keeping with the pricematch promise. We were going on a vacation and were in need of a good selfie stick with gimball as we wanted to make some good videos. This serves the purpose of both. One downside is that you have to download an app and register the stick before using it.

Decent quality for an affordable price.retractable and easy to carry around

This little 2-axis gimbal is exactly what I need. It is small, light and compact for easy carrying. It comes with a nice protective carrying case. I with it was 3-axis, but that would make it much bulkier. Buy this if you want to improve video taken by your phone, want a compact footprint without breaking the bank.

I consider this a selfie-stick on steroids with some gimbal-like features that can get by in a pinch. It fits a very specific need and if you are aware of limitations, you'll likely appreciate it many times over. This is a 2-axis gimbal focused on value and portability. Don't expect the stabilization of its 3-axis counterparts. To me, however, the ability to just throw it in a pocket and have it with me all the time is much more valuable than having a better gimbal that's too heavy/bulky to carry. The folding/unfolding mechanism is a bit tricky but nothing too difficult after a few practices. The app, albeit intrusive, has many cool features. One feature I used the most is the pano mode which takes near perfect panoramic photos every time. The extendable arm is special and much more useful than you think. Overall, I recommend this product.

Great item at a great price. Does the bare minimum. If you have more money to spare I’d suggest you get a more expensive one with 3-axis as this only supports 2-axis.

Very nice in terms of how it spins and moves. A bit difficult when setting up because it moves all over the place. But once set up for the value and price this product does the job well. Also it’s stick length comes in handy which other similar products lack a lot of.

Good small gimbal for the price, easy to use. I’m just scared of how it folds. I think it’s fragile in that sense. Just have to be careful when you unfold it.

Got this as a present for my brother since he loves recording videos of his kids. For the price I paid on sale, I think it was definitely worth it. It is missing the tilt adjustment, but I think it's worth missing for the savings. This gimbal feels very good quality, make you feel confident when putting your expensive phone in it. The tripod and case are a nice little bonus, the tripod seems especially useful.

Set up was a bit difficult. It took a several minutes and several attempts to,connect. It’s good for the price but doesn’t offer 360 degree motion. It is a good choice for someone new to gimbals.

For the price, the Zhiyun Smooth X is a good smartphone gimbal stabilizer for those on a budget. There are better 3-axis gimbal stabilizers out there, but for those who only use their smartphones to takes videos or take selfies occasionally, this is the best solution you can get.

Got this item on sale just because. I’ve used a few similar products in the past and they were better than this one.also you are forced to download an app to use the feature on the stick. The app also wants access to your entire phone, all the time.

This is the second time I bought this gimbal. And I 100% regret returning it for the 3axias gimbal. this one is compact and very useful once you get the movement down. Videos come out smooth and super stable. the 3 axias is large and clunky not something I want to throw into a bag. This one is perfect.

This 2 axis gimbal is a fantastic and easy to use affordable alternative to the 3 axis ones on the market. Works really well (way better than I expected) for selfie vid and pics, as well as cinematic shots. For a reference, this is one of the best value purchases I’ve made from Best Buy in 2 decades.

2 axis gimbal if you are starting out with video. You better have a smooth hand. Come with selphie stick built in so that is nice. For the price point it's OK. I took it back and ended up buying the Joby, because I wanted a 3 axis gimbal. Still a good buy.
