My new television has really poor sound quality compared to my old Sharp Aquos, so we needed to buy something. I did a lot of research before buying this. It is a bit spendy (by my standards), but the sound quality is very good, and the "Accu Voice" feature (that heightens the range of voices) really works. Now I can hear the dialogue over the soundtrack on movies. The bass is quite good, and the box is unobtrusive; it blends in under the television. It was quick and easy to set up, and I could program my regular remote control to operate it so that I don't need to use the remote that came with the ZVOX. My husband and I both love this ZVOX. (I might have to break down and buy one for our other television as well!)

So I am 56 and have hearing damage that really affects my ability to hear dialogue while watching TV. It is to the point that I began turning on the CC feature so that I could catch all that was being said... In my living room I have an old Bose 123 system. It has served me well and will get silly loud, however I still struggle with the spoken word while watching most programs. In my bedroom I have a 32in TV and had been watching it and utilizing the TV speakers. At best it was terrible and I had to really turn it up loud to hear anything... I began my journey to find something simple to put in the bedroom to make watching TV enjoyable again... In an attempt to be frugal I bought a Visio Soundbase and hooked it up... It was loud, and worked but sounds were not natural and it had no bottom end (bass). Just loud and tinny. Spoken word was still not easy to hear... I began reading reviews on the Zvox Soundbase and was impressed. I thought Bestbuy has a great return policy so, what do I have to loose at this point? Based on the size of my TV I chose the Zvox 570. Bought it online and it was delivered on time. Unboxed it, plugged it in, and hooked it up to my TV with 1 wire... The rest is history... I could not believe how simple this was. I immediately noticed how lifelike the sounds were and could hear voices easily and clearly! Next I read the 1 page instructions and activated the Accuvoice feature... Wow even better !!! My sound is very full and has great bass response. I couldn't be happier. Now I catch myself going to the bedroom to watch TV and movies (1) because I can now hear things easily and dialogue is right out front of all other sounds and (2) the sound is very life like. Ex: I was watching an episode of King Of The Hill (lol) in my living room thru my old Bose system. I went to my bedroom and began watching the same episode thru my Zvox and could hear a lawnmower running at a low volume. Went back to the living room and listened to my Bose system, and the lawnmower sounds were not there !!! My Zvox has absolutely added another dimension to my watching experience and I catch myself watching various programs and movies just to see what I have been missing! I have never written a review, however I felt compelled to write this in hopes it would (1) help someone else struggling to hear and (2) validate what a great sounding system this really is. I hope it last for many years to come... It really is everything that I read in other reviews and more. I am big on reading reviews before I purchase things online. Hope this helps in your buying decision. I'm now considering a bigger Zvox for my living room !

This review is for the ZVOX 570 which I picked because it fit in my TV cabinet. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sound from TV, DVD, and CDs. A slight amount of bass resonance occurs which I attribute to the enclosure and not the soundbase. Three bass settings can be selected and I selected the lowest(1) for all around viewing/listening and the highest (3) for movies and DVDs. If you desire more earth shaking sound an output for a subwoofer is provided. The Dolby 5.1 sound is quite impressive and gives you the sensation that the sound is coming from the side walls. A little larger than a credit card size remote is included and works well in controlling all of the built-in functions. If you want to eliminate the "clutter" of 5 speakers and subwoofer, you should get this system or its bigger brother the ZVOX 670.

My primary reason for buying this soundbase was to be able to better hear the voices from the TV. The Accuvoice feature delivers crisp, clear voices during any TV broadcast. I also was able to program the DISH remote to turn on the soundable when my TV is turned on & to control the volume. It took less then 2 minutes to do this. I bought the smaller 570 vs the 670 unit because of limited space in my cabinet. The only difference between the 2 was the watts per uniit & the overall size. The 570 is 30" wide & the 670 is 36" wide. It's a solid, heavy unit & very well made. I am very pleased with this system & recommend it to any one that has difficulty hearing voices clearly on their TV.

I had purchased a Bose Solo 15. I was having problems with the unit not turning on. I would have to pull the entertainment center away from the wall and unplug it to get it to reset.....pain in the butt. I saw the Zvox 570 which would set on my 32" cabinet. I spoke with Zvox who has great customer service guys and was convinced to give it a try. Took it home and expecting it to be a tiny degree better than the Bose. Boy was I wrong...this was a million percent better than the Solo 15. There was great bass and the clarity of the voices was tremendous. I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed!!!

I bought the ZVOX 570 Sound Pad after doing research on different soundpads/bars. The ZVOX 570 gives great sound whether you are watching an action movie on a blu ray disc or just watching the local news on tv. The sound leveling and accuvoice are great features. No more getting your eardrums busted from extra loud commercials or explosions. The ZVOX is a bit pricey ($399), but worth every penny. No cheap plastic casing. The casing is made out of wood and easily supports a 50 inch tv with no trouble. I will definitely buy ZVOX products in the future.

I bought this because it would allow me to better hear voices in what I was watching without making action scenes unbearably loud and I am not disappointed. As a test, I replayed the Lord of the Rings movie scene where Aragorn is softly talking to the Hobbits in one location while the Nazgul are stabbing empty beds elsewhere. That used to be unbearable to listen to because of how loud the Nazgul screams are. Now I can hear Aragorn and not have my ears blasted by the Nazgul. This sound bar will give you the big movie sound if you want it. Be aware that the box is taller than most. The legs on my TV (not a center stand) were too short for the box to fit under the set. Setup was easy and quick.

This is the first product I've bought for a real TV sound setup -- before I've always just used the built-in speakers. Such a massive difference. The bass especially is really gorgeous. I do have a pretty small living room (about 12x15 feet) but I haven't turned the volume up much past 15 and the sound fills the space completely. I haven't used the Accuvoice feature, so I can't comment on it. I use the Bluetooth feature a ton to stream music from my phone and that's now the main setup for listening to music in the living room. The base is about the same width as my TV stand and you don't even really notice it's there -- I like that design better than having a soundbar and a separate subwoofer, that just seemed like more clutter. I docked one star from the review because I wasn't able to get my Samsung TV remote to control the Zvox, and also because there's no HDMI output jack, you have to use digital optical. But it's not a dealbreaker for me to turn on the TV with the TV remote and then handle sound/mute preferences with the Zvox remote. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase.

I was skeptical of the accolades this unit was getting online, but decided to give it a shot for my wife's office TV. I am very impressed with the audio of this unit and surprised with the bass response. Not a true sub boom, but a boom just the same. I does have a sub out that I will add a powered sub to in the near future. Voices levels are elevated and easy intelligible. Bass, treble, surround level adjustments and an easy to see LED for feedback of adjustment. Great connectivity and while I was able to program our DTV to remote to control the unit (on/off & volume) the system will learn commands from your remote. Very many audio connections and BT capability. All in all very happy with this little guy and would recommend to all.

The ZVOX SoundBase 570 is certainly worth what I paid for it. My local Best Buy store did not stock this item, which gave me the opportunity to go to the store and take a good look (and listen) to other sound bars. The result was that I had the store order the 570. I'm glad I did. The 570 meets the written product description perfectly. I have a hearing issue, and wanted this unit to provide narrative clarity while allowing me to turn down the volume of the TV. It does what it is designed to do. I'm equally satisfied with the ease of setup. One of my better electronic purchases.

I needed a new sound system and read a lot of reviews before deciding on the ZVox570. It is a great sound bar that delivers on all that it offers. The best feature is the voice level adjustment. I no longer have to strain or turn up the volume to hear dialog. Thank you ZVox for a great product!!

Best sound I’ve heard from a sound bar! Best sound across all platforms, TV, Sports, Music. We watched Need To Breathe live in concert and it felt like we were at the concert. It’s not a true surround sound, but no sound bar does that. This ZVOX SB570 is sitting under our 55” Samsung that is a few years old and the sound improves the viewing experience. Setup was so easy and adjusting the sound to our desired amount of Base & Treble was simple.

So I moved My ZVox 420 to my bedroom & placed the ZVox 570 in My main watching living room. WOW! The 570 is a HUGE upgrade from the 420....stronger bass...stronger treble ...stronger midrange...just a wallop of power & voice articulation....don't get Me wrong...the 420 is perfect under My 32" Sharp Smart TV in My bedroom ...BUT the 570 ROCKS❗️ It does an awesome job of filling the room with tremendous surround sound effects & perfect, clear & precise void articulation. HIGHLY recommend the ZVOX 570 POWER BASE‼️

I read an article written by an audio reviewer. The ZVOX was highly recommended. I purchased a Sony Solo 15 from my local Best Buy. I ended up returning the Sony for the ZVOX. The ZVOX unit has a variety of controls options and the sound quality was much better. I do not have a full blown entertainment unit and currently have no need to purchase one.

Not as great sounding as I thought it would be, but not bad either. If you're used to a high end speaker/amplifier setup, then you may be underwhelmed - but for a decent replacement for small TV speakers, its a very nice solution. It has good bass and high ends - it just seems to be a little lacking in the mid range to my ear. The voices in movies sound good in normal mode, and are definitely clear and loud in the Accuvoice mode. The base is very sturdy and seems well made. It easily supports my 88+ pound plasma television. I like that the TV sits on top of the speakers to conserve space, and that the speaker doesn't block the RF receiver by being in front of the TV, like most soundbars. The only issue is that sometimes you will hear a vibration of the TV when there is a lot of bass. Music sounds good on this also, and its easy to connect it to your phone or tablet through bluetooth.

I have the 670 model in the living room and needed better sound for the tv in the bedroom. The 570 was a perfect choice. It makes watching a movie actually enjoyable. I love how easy it was to set up and get my FIOS remote to control the unit. I also love how easy it was to connect my tablet to it though the Bluetooth so all of my Amazon music can be played on it. The sound is fantastic.
