The Samsung 5.8 cu. ft. True Convection with illuminated knobs freestanding gas range offers blue LED illuminated knobs with a powerful and flexible cooktop that cooks faster with five specialized burners including 18K and 16K BTU power burners and a 5K simmer burner. True Convection, using a heated fan system, distributes heat throughout the oven faster and more evenly, saving more time than traditional ovens.
A: When the oven is on, there is a lot of heat that escapes through the back vent under the control panel. This does cause a lot of heat to be present on the back half of the back burners. I have not had the experience of the heat escaping from the top center burner. The owner's manual does describe the heat that will be generated from the back vent but couldn't find anything about the center burner. May be worth a call to SamSung...
A: I finally found the griddle that fits my NX58M6630SS stove. It is the Samsung part # DG61-01469A. I found it cheaper on eBay, but Samsung Parts and other online websites sell it too.
Q: Is the true convection fan heating element an electric or gas heated element?
A: This has an electric bake element.
Q: Does the range have an automatic shut off if the flame is not ignited and the gas remains running?
A: If a burner does not ignite the gas regulator was stop the flow of natural gas.
Q: Can anyone provide a part # for a griddle that fits model # nx58m6630sg stove?
A: Don't bother, the surface area is pretty small and the griddle plate only has the one cooking side, and costs $125-$150. We got the 2 sided lodge griddle plate, $30. Has grill side and on the side has the smooth griddle side.
A: It doesn't need a 4 wire 220v cord. It has a built in 120v for electricity which is required for the igniters. The electric model of this requires a 220v 4 wire cable which is why it says no wire included. No, a griddle is not included.
Q: Can convection fan be turned off so the oven can be used as a conventional oven?
A: Yes, it has both convection and conventional settings. It has been a great oven!
