3,500MB/s of peak MLC ssd

Fast in synthetic test, but not in real scenarios.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - Benchmarking this drive it can read well over 3000 MBps, much faster than my Samsung 850 Pro. Write speeds are over 2000 as well. - Drive feels snappy launching and closing programs and boots into Windows in 15 seconds. - It's obviously quiet with no vibrations you get from using standard or hybrid hard drives. Cons: - While yes this drive performs well in benchmarks, in practice it's no better than my Samsung 850 Pro. Boot up on this drive was maybe half a second faster than my 850 drive as they boot in 15 seconds. - Noticed no difference in launching programs or loading games when compared to my 850 Pro drive. - Don't get me wrong, it's a good drive but if you already own Samsung 850-960 Pro series you probably won't notice a difference in real world performance. Summary : - Great drive if you're coming from standard or hybrid hard drives. - Definitely better than cheap SSD drives from Sandisk, and Crucial. - In terms of raw numbers this drive is a top 5 performer as it can take advantage of PCI-E 4X additional bandwidth. - Most people may not notice a difference between the 970 Pro, and Samsung older 850 Pro in real world applications. - I would recommend this drive if you're coming from a Crucial MX200, hybrid or stand hard drive. If you already have fast storage the benchmark numbers are not going to translate to a product six times faster than top end SSDs.

Excellent product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is now the 4th 970 Pro 512 GB SSD I've bought. There really should be no need for reviews of this product, it is top of the line. I also bought the 980 Pro "somewhere else," and to be honest, I don't notice a big difference between the 980 Pro (which I use for the OS) and the 970 Pro (which is where I install software). Just waiting for the price to come down on the larger capacity ones. Samsung SSD's out perform all competitors, IMHO.

Couldn't be more satisfied.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my Samsung 850 EVO, because it was only 250GB, and I found that after my OS and a handful of games, my space was limited. But this 512, after all my re-installs, I've still got over 300gb left. Now as far as speed, this is light speeds faster than my old 850 EVO. M2 is the only way to go if your motherboard supports it. Paid right at 170$ for it, and no regrets, worth every penny so far.

Fast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great little SSD for anyone looking to upgrade their storage drive in their laptop. Speed wise, there's nothing better out there right now. 1TB is a ton of space, too, for an SSD, so that was nice. IT was very easy to install and it is running great in my laptop.

Super Easy to install and worth it so far.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to upgrade from the 256 GB that came with the laptop I also recently bought. I was surprised at how easy it was to install and upgrade. Only had one small hick up when re-installing windows after the switch, but was easy to fix and now this baby is running smooth and a lot faster than my last laptop which was at least 6 years old. Hope this one last me as long.
