    Practical, feels good, recommended

After trying the Asus ProArt PZ13 and the Lenovo Slim 7X, this Book Edge 4 impressed me the most, sharper display, reflection reduction, and a bit more color accuracy although not at Apple MacBook level. Ink deep blacks, punch colors, but too bias towards yellows and reds and no way to fix it. Samsung does offer and extra blue vs red color tone control, but that hardly does anything, I just keep it in the middle otherwise it affects the image in a weird way. The antireflection coating works, but it makes the overall image looks a bit dull, not the usual Samsung punchy colors that we love. Looking at it right now as I type, everything looks sharp, the white space looks clean, no patterns, but it doesn't give me that feel from the display from the Acer Slim 14 chromebook, that display although not OLED, the image quality looked premium, this one is OLED, but that antireflective coating does something that takes away from the image quality. The keyboard is awesome, I am using it to type this review and I love the feel of typing on this keyboard. The key lights are not so intrusive but they still bleed from underneath the keys, Apple does it better. The trackpad is big and it works find, but not Apple standard either, it doesn't feel premium and it takes a lot to make a click, I much prefer the feel of the trackpad on the ACER Spin 14 chromebook, glass and haptic feedback for the clicks. Samsung just created a minivan with this laptop, utilitarian, practical, it works, but it is not sexy. The Snapdragon processor is snappy, and battery life is better than Intel, but not super impressive as people claim it to be. I love that out of everything I have tried so far, this is the slimmest laptop, portable, and feels good to carry around, I Just wish they would have used a darker charcoal color, I don't like this plastic silver color, it feels fake and cheap, not an eye candy. The speakers work, but nothing special, definitely not Apple caliber. The sound through headphones is good, and the Atmos sound effect wakes up the sound, but again, nothing special, no separation of sounds, everything sounds muted together. I hope all that helps you get a feel for this device and helps you decided. Out of all the snapdragon PC with OLED display right now, this one is the best to me.

Good, not great compared to M1

I've only had this a couple of days as the launch was only Tuesday and writing this on Thursday. I have been using it as my daily driver and trying to put it though its paces in "real world use". I like the design, and size. Reminds me alot of older MacBook Air's. The trackpad is big and works well, keys are ok. I prefer mechanical. I can still type just as well as on any other laptop. The screen is probably the thing I like most so far, very bright, vibrant and just clear as can be. I've used this in true "laptop" form not connected to anything, and connected to my LG Ultrawide with mouse keyboard etc. It seems to have detected my windows hello compatible webcam but did not allow me to use setup my face as a login option. I was a little disappointed that it didn't have or doesn't offer by default the "face id" login. I use Horizon View to access my work computer, and while it launches and works well enough, it has caused a BSOD twice in just two days. I assume this has to do with the X86 emulation. This may prove to be a dealbreaker for me if it keeps up as that will mean I won't be able to use it for work. I did install Lego Batman (Epic) and Bloons TD6 (Steam) but games launched, but I haven't actually tried playing them for any real amount of time. I'll do that this weekend to see if it gets hot and or loud. I attempted to install Fortnite which did install, when I attempted to run it, the launcher said that the ARM Architecture isn't supported. I have to compare this experience to when Apple launched the M1, I got a M1 Macbook pro and honestly it was just a more "seemless" experience. It wasn't obvious that you were using a new architecture in the same way it is with this. I suppose that is to be expected with the tighter integration (OS & CPU) that Apple has. The battery life has been good but not mind blowing my any means.

    Great machine for everyday use

I have had my Galaxy Book for a week and it has been one of the best machines for daily use that I have owned. I am an IT professional and use a wide variety of devices everyday. I personally own 5 laptops that are used for various things. If you are looking for a machine that can handle most daily tasks other than high graphics gaming, this is the machine for you. The bright screen with fantastic color and high resolution make it a pleasure to use. I highly recommend the Galaxy Book 4 Edge. It its value to cost ratio is very good. The Galaxy Book 4 Edge has replaced four of those devices. I use it as my daily carry. Yes, I always have at least one laptop with me all the time. The Galaxy Book 4 Edge is thin, light, and has a battery that lasts at least 10 hours with moderate use. Under heavy use I get approximately 8 hours. The Snapdragon Elite processor may not be good for some business applications, gaming, and high graphics applications. However it handles my audio processing and digital photography needs with ease, In my daily work world it is adept at helping me monitor systems and communicating with others. I normally would have three machines that I use on a regular basis at work. Thankfully, I am now down to two.
