Q: Can I use it to back up files on my pc?
A: Yes. Although, you may have to reformat it first.
Q: Is this drive compatible with Windows 11?
A: Yes. You may need to reformat as exFat or NTFS first. Unless you need compatibility with another operating system NTFS is the way to go. You can format it right from Windows Explorer.
Q: Can this unit work on a laptop to store photos, pdf & word files?
A: Yea it can, it's not exclusively for Xbox one. It's just an external hard drive that they endorse. It should work just fine for a laptop.
A: No, as long as it was downloaded to the system previously it will transfer to the device. The only issue would be the size of the game and the transfer time. And you wont be able to play during the transfer.
Q: Will this work with a Dell gaming laptop?
A: Yes It should, but you will need to reformat the HD to work with a PC instead of an Xbox X. Should provide lots of storage for a PC gaming PC

Very good overall quality and 100% worth it.
I got this external hard drive for my xbox series s and I am very happy with it. I play a lot of games and most of them are over 50gbs like cod cold war which is 150gbs. I have 53 games on it and i still have over 1 tb left unused. It might not be a good as a ssd but transferring game from it to my internal storage or vise versa is very fast I was able to transfer cod cold war in about 30 to 40 minutes with transfer speeds up to 1tb. that much faster than having to install the game which can take an entire day. Plus getting 4tbs for only $120 is a very good deal and its better than paying up to $300 for a 1tb ssd. I only keep the game that i"m currently playing on my internal ssd especially game that are optimised for the series x/s and game that have long load times like red dead 2.

Can't play Series x/s games just store.
Wont allow you to play games from the external hard drive on the series x/s console only lets you store X/S games, older xbox games, ect., if you want to play a X/S game you have to transfer it back to the Internal hard drive each time to play a game. Works fine on xbox one colsole.

Best gaming accessory
This product is a game saver, literally. I used to have to keep deleting and downloading games, but now with this i dont have to do that anymore. All you have to do is plug it in.
