Gamer's 1st Gaming Room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This television is the first non samsung in my home. $ 300 sale price part of black friday sale. I was very satisfied with the options behind the television such as the 3 hdmi ports, Optical Port, Auxiliary port, VGA, USB. It's loaded as for smart tv functionality that lacks but as a gamer I dont need it I have consoles for that. The quality of the picture was great. Games and movies looked beautiful I was very impressed. The only thing I did notice while playing Halo 4 which is a bummer was the refresh rate. Sometimes I could see the tv lagging somewhat , but there is a but I messed with the setting and cut off the motion enhancements. Then the lagg disappeared but I could still see minor things which did not hurt my gameplay but it was weird mainly color palettes seeming to lag behind mainly lighting mind you I was hunting for these things. I only really noticed them when the area was dark. Area's with bright color schemes I could never see an issue. I realize the refresh rate is 6ms my samsung is 4ms, both 120hz. Overall I am satisfied with the television and will consider sharp for my next television purchase instead of only samsung. The money I saved was well worth the product I received.

Just as good as Samsung less $
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for elderly mom who wears a hearing aid. I was concern that it would not be good audibly. She sits 11 feet away and has cathedral ceiling and she hears fine. Set up easy. enough. Cable ready. Pretty good pic and refresh is peppy enough. I might buy one larger for myself..

Great basic TV for an amazing price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a casual viewer/gamer, this TV is exactly what I was looking for. 120 hz native refresh rate, 3 HDMI ports, good screen size, great picture quality even when viewing at awkward angles, lots of customization, and finally, soap opera effect can be turned OFF. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but if you don't want any of that and want to save some money, I'd recommend this thing in a heartbeat.

Nice TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV for use as a large-screen computer monitor for my conference room. I absolutely needed standard VGA PC Input so I was not limited to using only with a newer computer. The TV was easy to unbox, but it took a few minutes to figure out how to get the TV to recognize the PC Input. There was NOTHING in the setup instructions that clearly showed how to do this until I figured out that you needed to press the INPUT button on the remote to change the selection in order to access the controls. Other than that, I really like the picture quality and it really works great as a large screen monitor. Also includes HDMI inputs as it is a high def set. Overall, I am very pleased!

Great buy on excellent HDTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was searching for a reasonably priced HDTV and missed out on the Black Friday deal on this unit...lucky for me they put it back on sale for the football playoffs and I scored! Setup took about 45 min, including a thorough reading of the instructions and plugging to internal digital antenna. Olympics in HD were great! Sound is surprisingly good after reading other reviewers buying a soundbar...not needed from my perspective. Wife and I are totally impressed with this Sharp! I have yet to stream anything thru my computer to the tv, but expect similar high quality results.

42" sharp tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have found that this tv has everything i wanted. the setup was easy to get done and the remote system simplistic as well. I like that there are 2 hdmi cables. i have one set up for my blu ray player (which I had bought with this television. Review on that later.). The first flat screen tv i had bought was a Westinghouse from Target. It catered to my basic functions for a tv. But with this one, I have the 1080hp at 120gH. My Westinghouse was only 720hp with 60gH. So, as you can tell, I upgraded. Not only that, but when I bought my Westinghouse, I had paid $250 for a 24" at the time. Now for this tv I had paid $299. That's a steal for a Sharp tv. As of right now, I am completely content with the tv. The color is bright, and I can hear perfectly clear. Unlike the other reviews who said they had audio complaints, I don't have a surround sound system set up, but just free standing on my dresser, and that works for me. I can hear and see just fine. Overall, I am really happy with this tv. I could have not asked for more. The price, brand, and the ease of set up. Do I wish it was connected to the internet? sure. But I have my iPad, blu ray player, and laptop for that purpose.

Q: QuestionWhat can I use to reduce the glare on the screen from the windows and doors?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer There's really nothing you can do besides moving the TV or closing the window blinds. Adjusting the picture settings doesn't really work, I've had the same problems, but I enjoy watching TV in a dark room so it hasn't been that big a problem.
