A: Yes, the Best Buy installer will hard wire the unit in for you. The cutout in our granite caused interference and the installer threw his hand up and said call us back after you get a granite company to fix the cutout. We were supposedly replacing a same size older Jenn-air unit. We got the granite cut and the unit installed and wired the same day.

Love JennAire products
Just installed 4 days ago but so far all is well. We replaced our 30 year old JennAire down-draft cooktop. The downdraft venting has been a challenge for the installers, but after being without a cooktop for over two months we can finally start cooking again.

Nice Cooktop
Very nice cooktop and fits nice and flush on the countertop. Only have a few options for downdraft models and Kitchen Aid was having manufacturing issues.
