A: No, but it does heart rate and ECG

A: I believe it does, yes. I’ve used it to track my sleep, and it tells me how long i slept for, how much of that was a deep sleep and other things like that so it should track the rem as well

Apple warch series 9 review
The most notable upgrade is the display. It's now a whopping 2,000 nits bright, making it easy to see outdoors, and it can also dim down to 1 nit for better battery life. Double Tap Magic: A new and convenient feature is the ability to control your watch with a double-tap gesture. This is handy for situations when you can't use the touchscreen, and it's customizable. Improved Performance: The S9 chip with a 4-core Neural Engine delivers a noticeable performance boost, making the watch feel snappier and more responsive. Health Tracking Features: The Series 9 retains the excellent health tracking features of previous models, including ECG, blood oxygen monitoring, and sleep tracking.
