Perfect buy!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I bought this for my son for his birthday (he turned 6), and he absolutely loves this! It’s awesome watching him work on the projects included in the book, as well as experimenting to make his own. I’ll definitely be looking into the expansions and more project books to work on with him. I highly recommend this to any parent that wants to stimulate their kid’s minds!

So Interesting!
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. My boys finished the book in a week almost. They were obsessed! It is very cool and very easy to build. The pictures do a very good job for 6-8 yr olds to figure out part placement.

Love this starter set
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed.I took a chance on this junior set when it was on sale during the holidays. I wasn’t expecting much response from my kids because it was more of an educational toy but it was a hit with my 7 year old! She is still playing with it 7 months later. In fact I just purchased the myhome set for her Birthday. She loves snapping them and finding out why something does and doesn’t work. My other child on the only hand could care less about the set. I think it really depends on the child and what their interests are. Overall, I think it’s a great set with lots of endless play.

Lots of fun, even with a toddler
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed.I wasn't sure if my 3yr old would like this or be able to, but while he can't read the words yet, he can follow the diagrams and put together the circuits himself now (for the most part). When we first started doing father-son "circuit time", it was a bit foreign to him but the tactile nature of this "toy" and the fact that he is learning quite a lot of skills just by interacting with the toy ... that has made this a very valuable purchase. We've since bought some of the other kits too (the motion one is fun as well). I will say that some of the designs in this one are kinda lame.. but I guess they had to get to the 100+ projects... Also the whistle chip and the photo detector are not great. They have a very easy replacement program if you have defective parts, so we did that, but the replacement ones were just as finicky. The whistle chip you have to whack with your finger - it doesn't really detect sound well. That aside, it's a wonderful activity to do with your kids. I'm sure he'll tire of it at some point, but when he's older and can read the text and learn why these circuits work - that will be a whole new set of learning for him to do.

Son loves this!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I bought this for my almost 4 year old son who loves building stuff and he has had a lot of fun with it. I’ve also enjoyed building things with him and showing him how it works. I know it says 8 and up on the box but it’s safe and fun for even younger. The circuit are designed so that you can’t get zapped by anything while using it. Even if it’s running. It’s quite a cool toy!
