Sony delivers!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been holding off on a new TV for years now. It's been hard to find anything that I felt I could live with after my beloved Panasonic plasma and not wanting to spend the bucks on OLED. I knew it had to have a VA panel, I knew I wanted something that approached the color fidelity of the plasma, but I also accepted decreased viewing angles and less than perfect black levels were inevitable. And I was on a strict budget. So there were 4 options. Then I narrowed that down to 2. You might be able to guess which ones. The Sony clinched it with it's slightly higher light output and increased HDR color gamut. And based on past experience, I had a gut feeling it would have the most film like picture of the 2. So far so good! It feels solid and very well made. The stand holds the TV very stable with little wobble. I love the remote and after pairing it via bluetooth, I no longer have to have it pointed at exactly the right spot in the bottom center of the TV. It feels very responsive now. The settings are thorough and intuitive and didn't take a lot of tweaking to get a very satisfactory picture result. I found these settings worked best for me, but this will vary with individual taste. Custom for SDR/Cinema for HDR Brightness at 40(max for HDR) Gamma -2 Expert 1 or 2 Color temperature All motion, clarity, and picture enhancing features off Live Color on low setting Everything else at factory settings And I have to say, it's a beautiful result. Stunning actually considering the price. The image pops. It feels very film like. The black levels are surprisingly good so long as you sit dead center of the TV. They do start to show some light bleed if you shift off the center too much. I can live with that. The image quality is actually jaw dropping at times. Honestly. I was pleasantly surprised. I can find a few nits to pick, but keep in mind the price of this TV. For me they are pretty minor. First is the built in apps. For some reason (and this only seems to happen on Disney+ and Hulu so far), occasionally when I go back to finish a movie, either the sound wont sync, the sound is there but no picture, or it just decides to boot me back to the home screen entirely. This is annoying for sure and I'm hoping a firmware update can address this. Secondly the screen does have some DSE effects in the center and some color banding. Nothing atrocious, but it's there. And the built in apps do exhibit some judder on 24p content. If Sony could eliminate these things, while not loosing any of this TV's strengths, it would be sitting on a market leader in its price category. I sure hope Sony keeps a solid budget VA panel TV in their lineup for a long time to come.

Amazing Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this TV in our home for about a week now and we are very pleased with it. We upgraded from an older 43” 4K TV. We hesitated a bit because we thought a 55” might not feel like a major upgrade but it does! Especially in our small living room. It’s the perfect size now. Colors POP on this TV and blacks look dark. Not Like OLEDs but it looks good enough to my eyes. My unit doesn’t have much light bleed so I’m very pleased. I originally wanted an OLED tv but couldn’t bring myself to spending $1500 for a television. I ended up grabbing this TV for $520 on sale and I have no regrets. The VA panel on this TV has beautiful colors and contrast, and you don’t have to worry about screen burn in. Android TV works great. It is snappy and responsive. Apps are easy to install, and you also have the option to use cast from your mobile device. Gaming on this TV is amazing as well. My Xbox Series X games look so beautiful on this TV. 4K 60hz feels smooth enough to me. Don’t knock this tv because it won’t support 120hz. Honestly, anything faster than 60fps might give me motion sickness personally lol. Especially on bigger screens. I’m prone to getting dizzy when watching fast moving / shaky things on big screens. So I decided that 4K 60hz is the best option for my viewing and gaming needs. I’m lookin forward to playing next Gen games on this tv. The speakers on this Tv are also pretty great. Sony claims it has built in woofers and I believe it. I do hear a bit of punchy bass in movies and music. Sound is full and very clear. The music never over powers voices and it gets nice and full when the movie or game calls for it. My only complaint about the TV is that sometimes the apps lag out. Best way to describe it is that the picture will be frozen and you’ll hear all the sound. After a few seconds it fixes itself and works as it should. I’ve noticed it mostly with HULU, my gf says Netflix did it once to her also but I’ve yet to notice that. It probably isn’t Sony’s fault. The app probably needs some Optimization for the TV. I tried hard wiring the TV with an Ethernet cable and it still did it. So it isn’t a wifi or net issue. Android works fine and stays zippy so I doubt it’s android tv either. Anyway, hopefully HULU or whomever is responsible for the bug will notice it and find a fix for it and patch it soon. All in all, I am very happy with the TV and I would buy it again in a heart beat. Would I recommend one to a friend? Yes. Picture and sound quality is outstanding, and gaming on this TV is going to be a blast as well. I compared about 5 different TVs in this price range and I think this Sony TV should be on your short list if you’re looking for a budget friendly 55” TV for your home theater / gaming consoles.

View digital photographs on this TV is a great demonstration of the capability of this product. The larger than life images (maybe 6 times magnification) of my cat were just fantastic.

Excellent Picture
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleek design, Perfect size. Perfect vibrant picture. It pops! Everything looks better on this even DVDs are upscaled. Older movies never looked so good. In comparison to other brands of 4k.. Definitely worth the extra coin for a sony tv. Been with sony for a long time now. My remotes from my other still working Bravia's work with it too. Still syncs with my s-master surround sound too! Only cons are there is no backlight control. 55' model is direct lit, unlike the smaller sizes that are edge lit. Direct is better & helps in dark environment with dark scenes. But you can adjust the black level, contrast and brightness. It pays to tweak the settings your liking. For those gamers that want the hdr to kick in if it doesn't like in my case, you have to go into input settings to change the sdmi port setting to accept hdr and 4k. Overall great tv that blows cheaper models out the water!! If this is good, imagine the quality of the different pricier models.

Sony - 55" Class X750H Series LED 4K UHD...LOVE IT
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchasing the Sony X1 X750H Series was a no brainer for me, why? Because my previous and first LED TV is also a Sony Bravia, which is now 7 years old and still performs very well considering its age. I'm surprised most consumers don't seriously take a closer look at Sony, from my perspective Sony has proven to be an exceptional product, and value even with a slightly higher price point makes it a wise choice over similar LED TV in the same category.

Fantastic for money and ease.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I worked for my previous company I helped to install this TV in bestbuy. I knew then I wanted one. I love it. It's crisp and exceptionally clear. Watching older movies to playing games on current gen consoles, the picture just looks great. It is super easy to navigate and you get 3 hdmi plug ins. Sound overall is good. But if you want a great TV you really can't beat this one. Pictures are of the evo I use in need for speed heat.

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So let's be honest, this is not a $1500 OLED TV so don't expect that quality of picture. What it is a very owner friendly tv with great colors, plenty of available apps, and easy set up for Zoom calls, Duo or any mirror casts from your phone or computer. I have yet to find anything to complain about.

Q: QuestionWhat is the distance between stand legs?
Asked by Elmer.
- A:Answer For Model KD-55X750H, Sony's answer is ABSOLUTELY wrong. I just drove 50 plus miles to buy one, only to find that out. The ACTUAL DIMENSIONS on the legs are 31.75 inches if they are installed with them as close as possible or 35.375 inches if installed as far apart as possible. There is no way to get the legs to even 28 inches, which was all the space I had, let alone 23 inches. Now I have another 50 plus mile drive ahead of me to take this thing back. Fantastic.
