Too bad not a reliable phone

Overall this is a very nice looking phone, a little thick but a good trade off for the battery life. Specs, camera, screen are all great for the price. For the price point not going to find a nicer looking or spec'd phone, however it is unreliable for receiving phone calls. Every few days I would have a call that never rings or shows up in the dialer. Only way I knew had a call is people calling me let me know or just by getting a voicemail. Thought this might be a carrier issue, took to Tmobile, all settings correct yet they got me a new SIM anyway. STill issues. Ok, thought had to be the phone and I really liked so exchanged it for another. This time did not install any other launchers etc to make sure that was not an issue. After a week had 2 more calls not come through, had SMS app lock on me a few times so I just gave up on it. Same sim card works fine in an Iphone SE and a cheapo MotoG5plus. Too bad as I liked the "not" phone.

Before switching to the XA2 I had the XA1, and the difference is very noticeable. The display is much better with everything looking crisp and vivid. The camera is amazing, and it even records in 30fps 4k. Battery life is said be much improved, but I found it comparable to the XA1 where my battery tends to be at 50% after listening to music throughout my 9 hour workday. It seems to have better reception compared to the XA1, but that just be a figment of my imagination. Either way I would recommend this phone, if you're not brain washed by either Samsung or Apple yet.

I've had several phones in the past 4 years ranging from Sony, Samsung, Apple and Asus. My best experiences have always been with the Sony's and this phone reiterates that. I'm very happy with it, Battery Life is excellent, camera is above average, it's very snappy and fast, screen is great and call quality is perfect. The fingerprint sensor is in a non traditional location, however it's more convientley placed than an iPhone in my opinion. Overall I'd say it's a great buy, don't shy away just because it's not a Samsung or Apple, there is a wide variety of phones outside of those brands that will make you happy.

Every 6-12 months I sell my phone on ebay and buy a new one. I like mid range phone's that allow for one handed use with solid specs. Here's what I love about this phone and why I say it's the best in this spec and price range: Great processing power, always smooth. Impressive screen quality and size. Battery lasts almost 2 days. Smaller bezels than last year's model. Awesome camera, the low light pics have really amazed me. Android Oreo out the box. Nice feel in hand. Looks slick in blue. Very good speaker volume.

I was gifted this phone by my husband for my birthday 3 weeks ago. I was tired of my my 2 year old iPhone SE. Wanted something slightly bigger and since I used Chrome on iPhone i asked for a Android after 7 years with Apple. Smooth processor is amazing. Battery gets me almost thru 2 days with moderate use! Camera is SUPERB! Screen is perfect size and sharpness. I am so happy he did not get me a $700 phone. For the $350 he paid this is the best deal in mobile I believe!

It's a very nice phone and to me the Xperia series is better then most competitors since Sony is pretty minimal on interface tweaks and pre-installed junk. To add a little perspective the iPod Touch 6th generation (2015 model) is actually faster in some cases and handles 3D games MUCH better. This phone having 3GB (Ultra having 4GB) of ram and the iPod only 1GB. Everything but the performance optimization is awesome making this a great mid range phone especially for the battery life.

Bought the pink variant for my wife, which looks like a toned down rose gold. It feels premium even better than the iphone and s9. Bezels might be on the higher side compared to an S9 or any other recent phones, but is thin enough to feel sleek. Its thicker as well prob due to big battery. Display is good with blacks similar to an amoled. Pretty quick and my wife loves it.

Sony to make something like this in the new age of mobile is ridiculous. This phone can not multi task. If you are using another app or even recieving a phone call the app stops and you have to reload it. Playing music is the same issue do not use a third party app like Spotify and get a phone call. Terrible device from a company that should know better. Good phone for an 8-10 year old. Adults stay away...you have been warned.
