Speck - Presidio SPORT Case for Apple® iPhone® 7 and 8 - Cobalt Blue/Gunmetal Gray/Black

Like any quality case the Speck Presidio Sport fits like a glove. AS you phone is protected by multiple layers of different material it is drop rated to 10 feet. I don't plan to personally test this, but go to know that unless it fall off a balcony or something, that form my hands pockets or backpack falls should be survivable. Like any silicon outer layer case its unique in that to it as a slightly slippery feel at first yet it never slides out of your hand. I had the Presidio Grip before this and while it felt grippy to the touch every time I went to change my grip on it using only one hand I still would lose it form time to time. In the few weeks Ive had the "Sport" I haven't dropped it once. I often take my phone to the beach and mountain biking so was looking for something that would help reduce the possibility of dust and sand getting into the lightning port or mute switch. The Sport has a cover for the lightning port, and then we get to the KNOB. The "Sport" overs your mute switch with a KNOB that you twist to operate. I will say the jury is still out on it. Others have said its awful and don't like it. I wasn't sure what to think about it, but its growing on me. And I due use A LOT!! As a wedding DJ I can't have some of my more "creative" ringtones mid ceremony.

While I would have liked to have seen more color options in-store, I preferred to walk out with my new phone in a case rather than just the naked phone. I would have liked a little deeper edge on top, but the 8 is curved rather than having the square edge of the 5/6 series, so the curved case means that the protection does not sit up as high from the screen (and protector). I like that this case has a quick little "silence" button for the ring. although It is perhaps a little big and it also looks like the screw on a wristwatch (a what?). The protective plug for the lightning is OK - if you don't like it, there is no problem cutting it off. So, really, other than the drab gray color and the front protection depth (which, again, is due to the iphone's design, not bad case design), I really think this is a nice case

Doesn't matter how cute it looks or how nice it feels. The power button SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. Either it is so sensitive that I almost call the cops when my phone is asleep in my pocket (seriously) or it doesn't work at all. Sometimes, it lights up my phone to "turn off" if I flush a toilet near it. I've tried taking it off and putting it back on a dozen times in a dozen different ways. I even watched a video from Speck. My phone works perfectly without it. I would love to blast the internet with this broken product review, but I see most other companies have pulled this off the shelves. Not sold anywhere else except Ebay. Best Buy should take this off the shelves.

This case looks amazing and has a really cool knob in the place of the switch above the volume buttons on the iPhone. But the first time you drop it all the rubber on the outside will scrape off and at some point within the first week you will pull it out of your pocket and the bottom part of the case near the charging port will have broken. I went through my first in less than a week and my phone shattered in the second one. Love the design but it’s just not sturdy enough

This case does a great job of protecting your phone, and fits very well. The ring/vibrate silencer dial on the side is a little weird and takes a while to get used to using. Also, the case is very slippery material in your hands, but it snags going in and out of pockets. I've had it for six months now and the grip is finally starting to improve a little. The drop protection is superior and the charging flap is a nice feature to keep dust out, especially if you use a wireless charger.

I did want to get a floral fancy case and I asked the salesperson what she thought, because she was very knowledable and I valued her opinion. She said they broke easily, the sparkle ones scratched phones when you took them off but she had no problems with this one and it protected the phone when dropped. I think it looks good and comes in a variety of colors. I choose gray because my partner has a black case and the same phone so this way we pick up the right phone off the table.

It's a great case, and my husband bought it in a different color for his Iphone (the red). However, the gray case seems different in that the power button on the side is virtually impossible to push. I went in to exchange it for a different one and somehow every gray one I tried had the same issue when I put my phone in them. I then tried the teal color and the button worked perfectly. Not sure what the difference would be between colors but the case itself is great.

Fan of speck cases - but not this one. This case has a nice soft feel and grips well - more comfortable than presidio grip. But it's useless - because the volume buttons are stiff and don't work and same with the sleep button - and the silencer button design is horrid (protrudes and likely to break off). After getting this I went out and bought another presidio grip (love that one). Don't waste your time or money on this!
