so many ways to play!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.my 8 year old has been wanting this for a while now and now that she has it its been fun, theres many ways to play and learn and its an introduction to coding which is fun too. theres challenge cards and obstacles you can set up and try to use in different modes... scream mode is hilarious!! its a great starter kit to get used to before upgrading to the bigger sphero balls they have

Great toy for kids interested in STEM!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this as a gift for my daughter’s 8th birthday. She really likes trying to program the toy to complete the various tasks listed on the cards (guide the toy thru the obstacle course, etc) she also likes playing the “pre programmed” games too. We had no issues installing the app on my iPad which is from 2017. I highly recommend!

Big hit this Christmas with our 10 year old
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our 10 year old daughter has really enjoyed playing with this kit, and she especially likes the coding interface that makes it feel like so much more than a toy. The included accessories aren't much, but are more fun to use and repurpose than expected. Now the 7 year old is getting into it too!

Cool device, app not so good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My child really liked this gift. My only issue with it is you need to download an app to your phone in order to use it. The app would not work when downloaded to my child’s android phone. We tried my iOS phone an it worked great. It would be much better if he could use his own phone for it instead of asking to borrow mine every time he wanted to play with his mini sphero.

Cool Tech!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has got to be one of the absolute coolest toy I have ever seen. My son is taking a coding class that he thoroughly enjoyed, so I thought this would be interesting & something different. (And NOT a video game! Lol) He loves it! Is so cool to watch it do exactly what you program it to do! Very very cool. My brother even bought them for my 8yr old nephews!

Took it back!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up taking this back after about 3 weeks of watching it sit on the table and the kid wasn’t interested in it. I pulled it out of the box and put it together with ease and he had no desire to play with it. We could t get it to roll at first and the directions don’t really tell you in detail how to set it up. If your tech Suave then I’d say this is for you, otherwise i wouldn’t purchase it again!

Fun for kids
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sphero bits are fun to use with the kids. Little kids starting at about 5-6 are able to quickly understand the basics and then start to get into some basic elements of programming.
