Q: Is this the 2nd gen Moto E and do you have to activate it to access the phone?
A: I bought my phone in July and it was the second generation Moto E. You can start using the phone before activating it for apps. Of course to get calls and text messages you need to activate the phone.

A: Yes it does it works very good
Q: can this phone screen shot?
A: Yes, press the volume down and power buttons simultaneously.
Q: Does anyone use this phone to play Pokemon Go? If so, how well does it work?
A: yes it works fine, battery is small, so you need to bring a power bank if you are going to run all day just playing it tho
Q: Does this phone have hot spot?
A: Yes, but it will plow through data and battery twice as fast.
A: Not an issue because you can unload pre-loaded aps.
Q: Can this sprint pre-paid phone be used for Freedom Pop connections which also uses sprint network
A: I don't think so. Freedom Pop does not use Sprints' cell network but their data network. I have 2 Freedom Pop phones and they have special software because all the calls are VOIP. The call quality of Freedom Pop is bad. You can use this phone for Ring Plus, I have three on the network now.
Q: I want to know if works with Sim card?
A: No Sim card. With Boost mobile this is a CDMA phone. Most CDMA phones do not use SIM cards. GSM phones use SIM cards and that is T mobile and ATT
