Excellent Cleaning Dishwasher, Very Quiet!
Posted .I highly recommend this SPT dishwasher, I own it and bought it with my own money, so my opinion is unbiased and truthful. This dishwasher is extremely quiet and has cleaned all my dishes perfectly and spotless. All my dishes fit easily and I was nicely surprised to find how much you can fit inside. I use Corelle dishes and I can wash a full service for 8 (plus more) easily in one load. I love the timer countdown feature and the chime that plays when the dishwasher is finished. It's also the only washer I could find that matches all my other Stainless Steel and black trimmed appliances, but I highly recommend it for much more than it's appearance. The manual is easy to read, you get a dish loading chart with pictures (nice for newbies) and detailed pre-wash, wash, rinse and dry times and temperatures as well as the time it will take to complete each of the six cycles offered. My previous 18" portable dishwasher was 8 years old (was white exterior so replaced with the new stainless steel appliances I bought here at Best Buy) and even back then cost more than this SPT, but it didn't have as many features, nor did it wash as well as this dishwasher. The quality of the build is very good and the stainless steel interior is better than a lot of the higher priced standard sized washers I've seen. I also love the Adjustable top rack with flip down holders for stemware or to use as a small shelf. The racks are a high quality, very sturdy and the taupe color rack coating feels soft and thick to protect fine dishes. I really love the bottom shelf has two flip down dish guides (See pics) for when you want to wash a larger bowl or pots and pans, very useful. All together I highly recommend this great dishwasher and can I say again how Quiet it is! I've included pics of the interior as they were almost none existent online, so I hope that helps. Any questions I'd be glad to answer them. Thanks

exactly as reviewed
|Posted .The number one reviewed portable dishwasher performed perfectly. There are no cleaning issues at all. Everything is spotless. The only things needing a quick drying are made of plastic but the SPT has turned a 45 minute job into a 5 minute job. My back starts to hurt when I stand in one place for very long but the SPT has cleaned that issue as well. I highly recommend and compliment SPT on a job well done.

Good dishwasher for a small kitchen
|Posted .My biggest problem with the dishwasher was that it arrived with a dent in the door . I called customer service and they weren't able to ship another door . My only option was to pack it up and drive it to Best Buy to return. That was more of a headache then it was worth so I am using it with the dent but am not happy. As far as the dishwasher, it's hard to fit some items like glasses in but we knew it was going to be small so we expected some inconvenience. I might recommend the dishwasher if someone needed a compact one but I wouldn't recommend getting it from Best Buy.

NIGHTMARE!!!
Posted .Run from this machine, it leaked from the start, was delivered with dirt and grit all over it. I called the Manufacturer, they sent out a new machine, charged me $15 to return their defective machine. The second machine had a dent and also leaked and it was a circus of people calling themselves helping from Best Buy and the Supentown! Run while you can and DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

excellent
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendCleans the dishes better than my bigger portable. The soap pellets work much better than the liquid soap - liquid always seaps out onto a few of the dishes creating messy stuck on gunk i need to hand wash off anyway. Only thing I wish were different is the 2 hr long wash cycle. but, it's really quiet, so running it at night before going to bed is the work around. Make sure you have a good fitting washer and plumbing tape, our attachment to the faucet leaks pretty badly.

Quiet!
|Posted .Smaller internal capacity in terms of the number of dishes that I can wash at once compared to my previous 18"-class dishwashers, but it does a good job of cleaning the dishes and it is extremely quiet! Even most built-in models make more noise

A dish washer that washes dishes
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendIf you like me cannot fit the 24" washer in your home then this does a competent job of washing but has no drying feature. I wanted the 24" whirlpool but it was 3/4" too big to fit. The first time I used it my hot water was off so I only had cold water and the dish washer heated the water up to about 100 degrees. Impressive but nowhere near as hot as I want my dish water to be. So make sure you have hot water turned on, let your hot water heater do it's job and let the dish washer well wash dishes. I have not had any problems with leaking so that is good to note. It is super quiet too. Sometimes the wheels spin freely and easily, other times the wheels feel locked up and drag making it difficult for this healthy, strong 40 yr old to move. So someone less... hmm physically robust may struggle big time.

Amazing for small houses/apartments
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMy family rented a small house a year ago that did not have a built-in dishwasher. After a year of doing dishes by hand, we decided that a portable dishwasher might be a good investment, and are we glad we did. This thing making cooking so much easier without the daunting feeling of having to hand wash every thing you are getting dirty. It holds quite a few dishes and even a few small pots. Silverware caddy is a huge bonus. We were worried on how portable it really was going to be, but it does not take much effort to wheel this around with a full load, pull out the hoses, attach it, turn it on and forget about it. The only negative thing I could say about this is drying is a minor issue. I normally just crack the door open after it is done and leave it open over night. Do not let the ability to dry turn you away from this great product, it does a great job cleaning and the instructions are quite clear and helpful. I strongly recommend this to anyone that lives in small house/apartment and is tired of doing the dishes.
Q: QuestionFaucet requirements? Is there a special kind of fitting you need for the kitchen faucet to connect the water supply hose to? If so, what kind?
Asked by Kingster.
- A:Answer Yes, but the fitting is included. The end that screws on to the faucet is dual-threaded (male and female threads) so it will work with 90% of faucets. However it does not work with most pullout style faucets because they don't have enough threads to create a sealed connection. I had to replace my pullout faucet with a traditional faucet with a side sprayer to make the dishwasher work.

Q: QuestionWhat type of covering is on the top of the dishwasher? Is it like a counter top?
Asked by Denise.
- A:Answer The top is thin covered particle board similar to most cheap furniture. Any cuts will swell up when they get wet. Im looking into replacing or topping mine with a small butcher block, cutting board, or granite top.

Q: QuestionHow long on the hoses and are they retractable? What is the shortest cycle?
Asked by Rose.
- A:Answer The hoses stretch to about 35". They do retract.
Answered by CommunityAnswer
Q: QuestionWhat is the temperature of the rinse cycle?
Asked by chuck.
- A:Answer Hello, the wash and rinse water temperature depends on which of the 6 wash cycle you choose. The Wash temperature ranges from 122° F to 136°. The Rinse cycle temperature ranges from 131° F to 154° F. The instruction manual for this dishwasher has each cycle explained by how many pre-wash, wash, rinse and dry time along with the temperatures of each wash and rinse and if that cycle dispenses the rinse aid. I highly recommend this washer and have used all but one of the cycles (rinse only) with great results. I hope this helps.
