A: As long as you have a SATA powered SSD, and a USB - Type C, you can use this. It works just like a thumb drive, but you can use it on any SATA SSD. I'm not sure if it will have the power to operate a 3.5 HDD, they take more power to operate than a SSD. You could always get it, try it, and if it doesn't work, return it.
