A must-own for comedy fans, the 4K Blu-ray disc release of Step Brothers includes both the theatrical and unrated versions of the movie in 4K with High Dynamic Range and exclusive Dolby Atmos audio, as well as the Blu-ray with all previously released bonus content. Synopsis: Brennan Huff, is a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, is a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as stepbrothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

Haven't been the biggest Ferrel fan since he left SNL, but he really shined through in this one. It is easily his best comedy. I had only seen Reilly once in a movie before this, and thought he was a terrible actor. After this movie though, I decided to dig into some of his former roles, and while this is not his best movie, it is definately his best comedy. Both of the main actors did a great job with the roles, and had a hillarious script to work with as well. The plot is pretty thin: two single parents have 40 year old children that live with them, they meet eachother at a a business conference, fall in love, move in together, and the funny starts. At first the brothers don't like eachtother, thinking the other has ruined their gig of living at home, but they find they have quite a bit in common and eventually become best friends.

I just love this movie, I've always been a big fan of Will Ferrell. There are so many great one liners in this movie, I catch myself saying them amongst my friends all the time! Boats and Hoes.....classic video, just about as great as Ice, Ice, Baby! And its hilarious to see two men who are age 40 to act like 10 year old boys. Ferrell and Reily must of been brothers separated at birth. Those two guys can keep doing movies together and I'm sure they will be as funny as the last two they have done together. Check out the deleted scenes, I love the one about the meth lab in their parents house! "Do you wanna do karate in the garage?" "Yep!"

This is a must have for anybody who loves Comedy and who doesn't? This movie cannot be skipped over and must find a space in your memory if not your shelf. I probably have not clue where my copy is at the moment, but for like $8 in a clearance bin it's definitely a must have. By the way, I rarely buy any movies to own because I don't like them as a take home but this one is an exception. So there you go!

I gave this a 4 star rating, due to the AWESOMENESS of the movie itself. I could watch this 1,000 times and never get tired of it. One of Will Ferrell and John C Reilly's best! As far as the 4K upgrade, it's passable. This is an upscale, not true 4K. Yes you do get some added brightness and a slight uptick in detail, but unless you can get this at a sub $10 price point, I would skip it.

Will Ferrell, you either love him or hate him. I've seen him in rolls that I hated and rolls that I loved, and it seems like teaming up Ferrell with John C. Reilly is a "Golden Ticket". I have seen this movie several times and I always manage to get in several laughs. I feel like it's obvious but I am going to mention it anyway, this is an adult movie and is not meant for kids. I would recommend this for a comedy adult movie night. I am not so sure if the women will like it but then men will love it.

Step Brothers is one of Will Ferrell and John C. Rielly's gems. It gets funnier each time I watch it and is and endless wealth of one liners to use with other fans. The real gold here is the special features; they are worth the price alone. There are hours of improv, extended scenes, music videos, some of the funniest commentary I've ever heard. If you own this movie already but without the special features disc, double dip. It's like getting hours of hilarity with the movie thrown in as a free bonus.

I loved the movie. It's hilarious. But i dont think it benefitted from having a 4k disk release. The skin tones look too deep with a high dynamic range, like the black point has been adjusted incorrectly. still, once you get used to it, you kind of forget and can enjoy just how hilarious and ridiculous the movie is.
