Q: Is 16 inches a diagonal or horizontal measurement?
A: I have a 17.3 inch laptop and it fits snugly in the 2nd (but not main) storing compartment. I have a 15.6" laptop that nicely fits in the main "shock absorbing" laptop compartment.
