So far, so good
||Posted .I had issues with the remote initially, but called TCL and they promptly sent a new one. I love the app display and the item choices. The Roku TV’s are great. Lots of options. My mother turned around and bought the 43” TCL for herself.

As expected
||Posted .This tv is easy to set up to network and Roku and works perfect. I have it hanging in my garage. Wife watches it on treadmill and I watch it while playing darts.

Horrible product
||Posted .After installation the television worked great....for 5 days only. After that the television won't turn on. After calling TCL they are arranging to have the unit fixed. Not even to replace it. I'm extremely disappointed.

Good for taking that 1st step to unplugging
||Posted .If you want an inexpensive TV while contemplating whether or not to unplug from cable or satellite it's a good choice. You have to keep in mind that these low end TV's might not last very long maybe somewhere in the vicinity of 5 years give or take a few years. Often it isn't the picture that gives out but something to do with the power supply dying. That was the case with the TV I just replaced . a low end Insignia TV . It still had a very good picture but wouldn't power on at the end. Since it is 1080p picture quality shouldn't be an issue with all but the very discerning among us that might take issue even with minor details on 1080p picture quality. For those of you looking to unplug cable and satellite, the main problem with Roku is the free content they offer ,which I'd have to say is bad. Maybe it's that way with all services like Roku. That I couldn't tell you. But if you subscribe to cable or satellite basically to get sports packages or good movies you're out of luck thinking you can get the same things for free on Roku . There's not a single channel on Roku that will give you good movies from the last few years as good as TNT/TBS or any of the FX channels that you get from a satellite or cable provider. The good news is you can still get good movies for a monthly subscription to Netflix or the major sports packages from MLB,NFL etc through Roku. If watching the news or cartoons for your kids is your thing Roku is a little better. But most of the free stuff on Roku is junk aimed at specific small audiences. Another good thing about Roku is that you can mirror things from your home computer on your TV. This is from an app usually included in most recent windows based laptops. I can't speak for how it works for Macs. I would make sure your computer has Miracast before you make this purchase otherwise its smart TV capabilities will not be fully utilized. There are adapters called dongles that range from anywhere from $15-$75 to fix that. I'm not the most tech savvy guy probably like most of you and you can link your phone to Roku also but I'm lost on that subject. If you decided to unplug completely and only pay for things you really want or local channels Roku is a good choice but you have to figure out if your subscriptions from Roku will be less than your cable or satellite bill which i think it will be if you don't get too many subscriptions because you still have to pay extra from cable/satellite providers for sports packages and movie channels. If you do unplug then you also have to know you you will need an antenna to get local channels and spend money and time setting it up. It's my humble opinion that cable and satellite TV will be dinosaurs in the not too distant future and the sooner you take advantage of better ways to watch the content you want to watch rather than just what cable and satellite gives you, the better. This TV with Roku is the 1st step in the right direction.

Highly Recommend, Especially for Fans of Roku
||Posted .I've been using a Roku and an old 32" bedroom TV for the last 5 or so years and I've never had any issues, when it comes to selection of streaming apps you can't beat Roku. When it was time to upgrade I went with this TV and it's been great. It's nice not to have to use 2 different remotes for the Roku and the TV, and it has enough ports for everything. Picture and audio quality are pretty decent, nothing special but the audio can get quite loud (I keep it around 20-25% and that's more than enough). Highly recommend for a bedroom or spare room TV, and it's tough to beat that price for what you're getting.

Great TV and Stunning picture!!
||Posted .I am extremely happy with my purchase, a competing store had this on sale and I chose to go to my Best buy store & have them price match this. Frank, the Manager, was more then happy to get an associate to help me & have them order it for the matching price! This is a great tv, with tons of features, I bought this for my son's room and he's extremely happy with this tv and all of the features and apps it has. We do not have cable or satellite and the digital tuner picks up a lot of OTA channels.
I would recommend this to a friend
Q: QuestionDoes it have a sleep timer?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The * button for "Options" on a TCL Roku TV is grayed out and not able to be opened up when on the home screen. When you click on one of the apps in the home screen, the options button then is able to be activated. Unfortunately though there is no option for a sleep timer available. Very sad for such a modern piece of technology to not have quick access to a sleep timer. Most TVs include that on the remote itself.

Q: QuestionDoes this TV work GREAT with just an Antenna? We are going to use it in our Trailer.
Asked by Rose.
- A:Answer All of our TCL Roku TV’s include a Coax Antenna input, and would work as a “normal” TV should. However, in order to take advantage of the “smart” features, such as the thousands of available streaming channels (some free, some requiring a subscription) the TV would need to be connected to the Internet. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
