Cleo (Dominique Provost-Chalkley), Derek (Jim Watson), and Erik (Kyle Mac) are tasked by their professor to debunk the various urban legends surrounding Buckout Road. Everything starts out swell, but soon they begin to suffer from nightmares about the stories they are trying to disprove. Then, as if a sign that more sinister things are coming, their professor commits suicide. Just as things get more bizarre, Aaron (Evan Ross) enters the scene. With him, they try to unveil the mystery behind the seemingly cursed road before it takes another life. Directed by Matthew Currie Holmes.
This horror movie was really good. It has a great story line and it was different than the other horror movies I have seen lately. The actors did a great job and gave fantastic performances.

Not that particularly great!
Buckout Road, in Westchester County in New York State, is the latest to make you wish you’d stayed at home with a good horror film (perhaps this one?).
This is a movie about urban legends. It’s uneven, but it’s often great fun and also quite clever, with its student protagonists not just looking at the mix of terrifying true stories and later embellishments that seed them, but also breaking them apart to the evil behind that stalks unbelievers (if you believe in that sort of thing…)
Hysteria or haunting? Urban myths or monsters? In this case the devil really is in the detail. There’s clearly a link with modern times, and as the students start to investigate, past events in their lives become key to the story.
