The patented Star Burner's unique five-point design offers more ports and more flame distribution than a round burner. The powerful 16,000 BTU center burner allow for rapid boiling and high heat searing. Continuous grates allow pots and pans to move effortlessly across the cooktop. Electronic re-ignition will automatically re-ignite the burner in case the flame goes out and sealed burners prevent spills from entering the burner box.

- A: AnswerIt would be easy for me to answer any questions you have for me if I owned this cook top but it is at my renter's home and I do not want you to bother them. All II can say is that they love the beauty of this cooktop and far as I know, everything is working fine. I am sorry but that's all I can say. This review may be easy for some who is a whiz at being a tech but I have been on the computer for 2 hours trying to answer the best I can with my capability. I am so sorry. This is the best that I can do. Please forgive me.

Overpriced - do not buy
This is an overpriced unit. In less than an year I have had the led lights go out which was fixed under warranty . An now just after the warranty period the cast iron burners are cracking. Customer service is awful and would not replace what is essentially a manufacturing defect. The steel is very poor quality and scratches easily

Decent quality
Not impressed with quality as I am with our oven. Electronic pilot is finicky and does not always ignite. The previous version with a igniter at each burner never failed.

Great...This is the second Thermador i had been used. The first one last 14 years. This one is more BTU and very easy to clean. I strongly recommended. To me , Thermador is best.
